In the wake of the horrific attack on an Orlando nightclub by a man espousing allegiance to ISIS, it didn’t take long for the Big Three networks (ABC, NBC, CBS) to advance the preferred political line of the Democrats, in this election year, to push for more gun control. Beginning on the evening following the shooting, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt on June 12, sounded the clarion call for gun control: “Today’s terror attack brings national security and the debate over gun control to forefront of the presidential campaigns once again.”
And for the next week, an MRC study shows the broadcast network news programs flooded their shows with statements favoring gun control over gun rights by a ratio of 8 to 1.

I find it revolting, when populist emotionalizing is routine.

Chicago has 30 shootings every weekend........ and crickets from the left!

8 Killed, 45 Wounded in Weekend Shootings Across Chicago | NBC Chicago

Chicago’s deadly Father’s Day weekend: 12 murders, 54 shootings | FOX6Now.com

Chicago violence: 'A long, hot summer' feared after weekend shootings - CNN.com

Deadly Weekend: 9 Killed in Chicago Shootings - NBC News

We have lost more people in Chicago than Iraq and Afghanistan combined. I guess it is true that black lives do not really matter to the democrats. The democrat reaction to the Orlando shooting is a glaring example of this.

And the response is always the same rote. We certainly have a problem. There is no real doubt about it.

But as far as the kids go it is a social/societal problem and not one of technology.

And. A school kid cannot easily build a bomb, but a terrorist or gang member can. He can also get a fully automatic gun on the black market even in countries with extremely restrictive gun laws.

As a matter of fact, even a kid can buy a Kalashnikov in the back streets of Aix la Chapelle, which is a sleepy university town on the boarder to Holland. The difference is in the societal and social parameters not the availability of guns.

It might be because Chicago has some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the country and they are obviously a complete failure.

Look over here .......
