Im coming to the end of a year studying in Turkey so im looking to explore the rest of the region before I go home. In order of likelihood this will involve Syria, Lebanon and Jordon. The problem is that I,ld prefer to do my masters outside the UK, possibly in the U.S. This could cause problems as i already have a Turkish student visa stuck in my passport, so adding a Syrian and especially Lebanese stamps wont help, im tempted just to risk it as I may not be in this part of the world again and life is sort but it would be interesting to hear what the experiences of others are. I,ve heard of people smiling sweetly and asking immigration officials not to stamp their passports so maybe its not such a big deal.
