This is indeed refreshing, imagine that, a liberal, a celebrity liberal no less, finally expressing oneself with the f-word and aiming it at a r-wing operative in the crowd.

Bullseye! Hit em right between their dittohead eyes! I love it!!

You go girl!

NEW YORK (AP) -- It was an evening that elicited tears, standing ovations, raucous laughter and shouts of joy from the audience -- and that was just in the first few minutes.

Yes, Barbra Streisand's return to touring after a 12-year absence was the extravaganza that it promised to be. Monday night's show at Madison Square Garden was the third stop of a 20-city jaunt across the nation -- a virtual lovefest between the ultimate diva and an adoring, sold-out, celebrity-dotted crowd.

Streisand effortlessly crooned through a select repertoire of the hits she's amassed during her four-decade-plus career. But the night's most riveting moment came during what was perhaps the only unscripted -- and truly uncomfortable -- episode in the three-hour show.

There was Streisand, enduring a smattering of very loud jeers as she and "George Bush" -- a celebrity impersonator -- muddled through a skit that portrayed the president as a bumbling idiot.

Though most of the crowd offered polite applause during the slightly humorous routine, it got a bit too long, especially for a few in the audience who just wanted to hear Streisand sing like she had been doing for the past hour.

"Come on, be polite!" the well-known liberal implored during the sketch as she and "Bush" exchanged zingers. But one heckler wouldn't let up. And finally, Streisand let him have it.

"Shut the (expletive) up!" Streisand bellowed, drawing wild applause. "Shut up if you can't take a joke!"

With that one F-word, the jeers ended. And the message was delivered -- no one gets away with trying to upstage Barbra Streisand, especially not in her hometown...

haha. She can give it but cant take it. typical. She should have been singing anyway instead of trying to be political.

That`s a liberal for ya....

I am a huge Streisand fan and was planning to look into purchasing tickets to see her. I will likely do that. However, why does she have to make her tour political? If I were a republican, that would reallyl p!ss me off. She has an amazing voice, and she shouldn't be doing political crap during her concert. I think it's wrong. I use profanity, but I would never use it in those circumstances. It sounds low class of her.

If I was paying money to see her sing it would piss me off regardess of political leanings.

Doesn't sound political to me. Guy wanted to hear her sing, paid money to hear her sing... and got frustrated with a poor and drawn-out comedy routine. Maybe she should consider dropping the routine and sticking to what she's good at-- and saving her political commentary for when she's off-stage.

Good for her, though, putting the heckler in his place.

A bit off topic, but I'll share this: A friend paid $4000 to see her last concert about 5 years ago. Why? Because it was billed as her final tour ever! She proclaimed she would never perform live again. My friend is a huge fan and thought it worth shelling out the money to hear her one last time.

Now here she is....back with another farewell tour. He's ticked and who can blame him. She's a disgrace.

This woman makes a living gouging her fans.....I do belive I would rather hit myself in the head with a ballpean hammer then be forced to sit through that. I guess I don't understand wanting to spend 4000 bux to see someone sing one another "Farewell Tour". Is the next one going to be called "farewell Tour 3 - I really mean it this time"
