Adult film star Stormy Daniels, in the midst of a publicity tour fueled by past allegations of a 2006 sexual relationship with a then-married Donald Trump, said in a statement on Tuesday the alleged affair never occurred.
Keith Davidson, a lawyer for Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, confirmed the statement was authentic but didn't offer any further details.

In her statement Tuesday, Clifford said she wasn't denying the affair because she was paid "hush money," but rather "because it never happened."
Neither Cohen nor Clifford have addressed whether she was paid $130,000, and if so why.
"Enough of this. Stormy, show me on the puppet what he did to you," Kimmel said to her, holding up a doll dressed in a shirt and briefs and with a mop of Trump-like hair.
Clifford produced a blond female doll with duct tape across its mouth, and gave a small nod as she looked at the camera.

This is a comedy TV show. You do understand it is scripted?
Bucky, please...please, I implore you to understand that talk shows aren't always about comedy. Jimmy Kimmel is as much an activist as a TV show host. He's a smart guy. Stormy was on the show for one reason. He was going to squeeze her for everything he could about her relationship with Trump DESPITE knowing that he had a very limited scope of methods to harvest any valuable information.
Deny it if you want...like you do about most realities in the world, I think we can all come up with a very significant reason that Stormy was dodging questions more than outright denying.
If she signed documents and took money that she couldn't disclose what her relationship with Trump was...and that she was to deny, deny, deny if anything leaked out, how the hell do you think she'll respond. But Stormy was evasive to Kimmel's questions in ways that can only be lead to the belief that she took money for something.
Her saying that her signature didn't look like signature - wasn't comedy. But it wasn't an outright admission to the claims of her relationship with Trump.
You have to employ abstract thinking about somethings in life, Bucky. Now is one of those times.
