Do you condemn all forms of terrorism and call on all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to actively block and/or remove a website which provides a platform for the promotion of extremism.

All Internet websites that give Guidance or Instructions on how to carry out an act of terrorism must be withdrawn or removed from the public domain. 9/11 and 7/7 must never be repeated and the Internet should not become a tool for terrorists or extremists?

If so then please visit http://www.richardbarnes.info/petition.asp and sign the petition....

Thank you

Sarccyslayer no the boys will tell u y on this site.

all the best to u anyway you have good intensions.

Good intention , but not the proper method .... you will generate more trouble since the definition of terrorism is blur and many people will see it against democracy ...... The only way to fight "Terrorism" is debate and prove your point .... :2wave:

Can we ban porn from the internets too?

Many 'terrorists' are fighting against oppression like the FARC, Shining Path, Zapatistas etc. FARC is officially a terrorist organization.

But the number 1 spreader of terror is none other than our country, particulary the leadership.

TERRORISTS, THE INTERNET AND THE BETALUMINIUM THREAT

"Terrorists Turn to the Web as Base of Operations," a Washington Post headline declared in a front-page, above-the-fold story on August 7.
"Among other things, al Qaeda and its offshoots are building a massive and dynamic online library of training materials," the Post reported, and offered sample documents from this library on its own web site. But contrary to the Post story line, the cited library materials suggest a startling lack of technical competence.
A page ... from "The Mujahideen Poisons Handbook" purported to explain how to manufacture "betaluminium poison." ...there is no such thing as betaluminium poison.
...the proffered production method -- combining fresh horse manure, meat, grain and water in a sealed jar -- [wouldn't] yield much more than a stinky mess.
If the Poisons Handbook is indeed representative of the "massive and dynamic online library of training materials" offered by jihadists, then that is good news for public safety and security.

LOL----this is a good one, because, as bad as you think extremists are in other countries, they're actually worse, but the real shocker is when you find out that there are home grown extremists right here in the USA, and I am NOT talking about shoe bombers....Im talking about political groups which foster nothing less than the total disintegration of simple DIALOG.

You know dialog, that thing that keeps us together as a society?
With groups like this dialog is pointless, because facts cannot be gathered, cannot be discussed, cannot be researched, and points of view cannot be debated.

Here are two groups which are almost mirror images of each other, one on the right and one on the left, both of which obviously get their funding from very high up on their respective food chains.

The latest volley in the propaganda war has already started.
Protest Warrior now has a set of teams which go into political debate forums with the express mission of disrupting discussion.
They are not here to debate, they are not here to discuss, they are here to disrupt and nothing more.
If they can crash a board its the same as crashing a march, its all the same to them.

Both sides are extreme, both sides are funded by groups that have no interest in real facts or real discussions. I wont point fingers or use hot button words as I think some of you already know where funding for ANSWER comes from....not exactly a constitutional support group if you know what I mean!

The problem with these vigilante disruption teams is that they knock out sites that the CIA and other intelligence agencies use to gather information about terrorist organizations. The internet is the quickest and easiest way for our intelligence community to find out information from terrorists. If vigilante's knock out the sites, then it's that much harder on our intelligence communities.

That's a given.
I wasnt referring to "physical" terrorist groups really.
This is an added problem on top of all the other ones.
In order for this country to address ANY problems we have to be able to communicate.
Our system is already "broken"...our legislative branch is clogged with 24, 000 lobbyists who usurp the process and put it in the hands of wealthy special interests, our judicial branch is suffocated by partisan issues, our executive branch is driven by neocons.
We, "the people' are all that's left, and in order for "we the people" to address the dislocation and disconnect caused by partisanship we have to communicate, and groups like the ones above do everything in their power to polarize, isolate
and propagandize.
I'm not saying that internet forums are important, I am saying that what happens on these boards is a microcosm of what happens in the real world, and what gets said here gets said out there, and what gets perpetrated in here gets perpetrated out there, and it's counterproductive as all hell.

Most Americans have a healthy mix of social liberalism and fiscal conservatism...
In other words, MOST Americans are moderate conservatives.
What we're seeing these days amounts to the tail wagging the dog, and with the advent of groups like these, we cant even figure out where the tail OR the dog even stands.

Galenrox wouldn't have anything else to fall back on if you did such an act.

I really cannot advocate blocking internet sites that support terrorism. I prefer that people have access to what kind of vile filth is really out there beyond what you're fed in the mass media. What I do want to see seriously restricted is access to sights like terraserver. Extremely detailed satellite photo's of US government facilities and shipyards is absolute stupidity if we're attempting to make it difficult for terrorists to carry out attacks. I work next to the Washington Navy Yard and have been able to locate all the security checkpoints with ease. It's utter foolishness to make this available to the public knowing that the likes of Al Qaeda also have access.

btw....I'm glad I found this forum and expect to enjoy some spirited debates here.

That's a little extreme, don't you think? Banning honest, hard-working porn.
