Stop talking and start doing!!!!!!

The purpose behind vehicle technology is transportation.

So you assert. And indeed, the guy driving into the spectators at the parade was also engaged in transportation. Likewise, someone going 100 mph in their car and steering it into a bridge abutment, is also engaged in transportation.

Both of those actions are enabled by the "essential nature" of a motor vehicle.

Is the purpose behind a Bradley Fighting Vehicle, exclusively transportation? How about the purpose behind a go-cart? A ski boat?

I think this is where the disagreement lies. You try to exclude every purpose that is enabled by the design of an object, other than the one in your initial claim. Talk about fallacious narrowing.

Categorically, guns have more than one purpose. Some individual models do have a more narrow purpose. None are intended and designed for the purpose of murder, any more than a Ford Explorer is intended and designed for the purpose of murder.

Not going to happen. Those gun phobic leftists love mass shootings. Why? Because it greatly helps their cause.

Kleck has decades of experience being a bullshit artist... Not surprised the gun nuts cling to discredited "study"...
If you meant that Drs. Kleck and Gertz have decades of experience dealing with dishonorable criminal leftist filth, you would right. They are experienced criminologists after all and they know your ilk all too well.

Lucky both didn't shoot. You know that right?

My gun alone or one of the 400,000,000 in private hands?

My open carry work gun has very likely worked several times to prevent a robbery by its mere presence BUT that's not even the ones we count. 22 thousand plus crimes a day THAT ARE REPORTED in this country. Thousands likely unreported daily. Still you find it hard to believe? I've given you many examples and I am one person. Imagine 330,000,000 many who are in ghettos, wilderness, or bum **** Egypt.

What, exactly, is “proper gun regulation”?
Stuff like they have in some other rich countries that would pass muster in US courts. Somehow they have managed to have far lower rates of gun deaths. But the US learning from other countries? Heresy!

The US has learned from other countries. We've learned that having a national registry, as they do in the UK and Australia, would enable the government to confiscate guns as such a registry allowed the governments in the UK and Australia to confiscate guns en masse when said guns were banned.

What are you talking about?
You assumed I was not a gun owner. And you also assumed that I was a coward and whining. I do not "task" anyone to protect myself or my family. I expect law enforcement to do their jobs, but I do not trust that they will or have the right training to act. In order to better protect I seek to even the playing field and remove some danger.

Arming everyone is not only stupid but ****ing stupid. Some people should not have weapons, (especially the ones that jump to stupid ass conclusions quickly).

Sounds good to me, though I would compensate the owners. Was it all guns or just certain types? Did the UK and Australia succumb to some tyranny thereafter?

What laws in other countries would pass Constitutional muster here? All of those confiscations?

In the UK it was handguns, repeating rifles, and repeating shotguns, or what would be about 300 million guns in the US.

You're asking on behalf of the peaceful, law abiding citizens who were forced to give up their legitimately obtained property at gunpoint?

Laws banning certain weapons held up, and they even diminished the killings while in effect.

If they are compensated, who cares? Win-win: fewer weapons, fewer killings.

Who cares? Perhaps the peaceful, law abiding citizens relieved of their property at gunpoint.

You guys got to get your fables straight.

@Glitch.... c'mon... you gonna let him lie like that? LOL.
One cited Kleck the other the CDC. Liberals hate Kleck but would eat the peanuts out of the CDC's shit. So let's go with the CDC and now you have your 1369 per day.

Now if you have evidence that your beloved cdc is wrong please feel free to share it. Until then you have been defeated in this debate.

Someone with your utter and complete ignorance on the subject calling something a fable just from those ignorant misinformed personal feelings is a joke. We are laughing at you.

Did you run into any shootouts on the way to work this morning? No? Neither did anyone else.

Carry on.
Did you complete your training yet? I heard that you unarmed leftists have been preparing. Police designed a couple courses just for you guys. Begging for mercy, the coward edition and A Grammy winners guide to playing dead. Both top notch I heard.

In Australia they banned semi automatic rifles, in the UK they banned "small firearms" which were guns that had under 12 inches of barrel length and 24 inches of overall length. Owners were compensated but nothing near the full value of the guns that were turned in. The reason why everybody who had such guns turned them in is because the guns were on national registries in the UK and Australia which meant if you owned such guns and didn't turn them in the government would come after you. Here in the USA we've learned that from the UK and Australia, we've learned what happens when you have a national registry and so we've learned not to have a national registry in the USA. Its because of what happened in the UK and Australia why we don't want a national registry, so we've learned from said countries.

It is not law enforcement's job to protect you or your family, just society as a whole.

If by arming everyone you're talking about making it mandatory for everybody to own weapons yes I agree that's stupid. Part of having rights is also having the right to not exercise them if you choose not to.

So @Glitch is full of shit? Cool.

This is the part where you back away from your claim and eat the peanuts out of @Glitch shit.

Been on this rock for 50+ years...never needed a gun. Never will need a gun.

But then again, I don't need a prosthetic for my manhood. Others do.

You should write the pro gun control amicus briefs for SCOTUS.

If we can ban why cant we ban guns why is that the only thing we wont restrict?
