Stop and frisk thrown out by fedral court.

Bags of weed aren't part of the equation, or shouldn't be. If people with bags of weed or rolled joints are the target of this stop-and-search policy then the cops need to have scorn heaped on their heads for berry-picking easy busts.
I agree. D'accord. If the cops have been handed this kind of tool they need to show that they're using it as intended, against it's intended targets, and not just to make easy busts even easier.

They have not. Pot bust have gone thru the roof in NYC. That is one of the things that has brought this issue up. Black and Hispanic kids getting busted for weed while white kids get off scott free.
 
The prison business is big business. Drug business works hand in hand with the prison business. Good for the economy. Our prisons are overrun with pot smokers and small time dealers. That means more construction. More employees hired at prisons. Let's not forget contracts for food, clothing, etc. Then you can image all of the other facets involved. It's a great tool for proliferating courts, DEA, CIA, police, etc.

The list goes on and on...

They have to feed the anti drug beast. That is why they fight legalization. It is not morality but money out of their pocket.
