States that voted for Trump in 2020 should secede from the U.S. says GOP congressional candidate

You don't take into consideration government spending on military bases, research labs and the like all lump together when the left makes those claims

Off the top of my head, the Federal government spends more on military bases in RED states, isn't that true?

Are you under the naive impression the Reds can secede while still getting Federal funding for bases?

It is true, yup we will just keep them and rent them back

Nope. Like kid said to Grant. I’m fighting you because you’re here. Just like Ukraine fighting the invading Russians

Wrong again, especially since it was the SOUTH who started the war by attacking US troops.

lol... The lie at Fort Sumter. Vietnam war started with um...... some boat taking on water we're told.

Ah. Well here's the thing. If you're going to keep United States assets, you'll have to take a share of the debt too.

No IOU's accepted. See we don't trust you to pay up. If your states have half the population, you'll have to pay half the debt. If you have half the population (and that's not likely, since Texas and Florida will likely not join when they see the basket cases they will have to support) ... but if you have half the population, you'll have to pay $15 trillion before you can secede.

That's a lot, so fine, you can have the bases. Can't do you fairer than that!

Lincoln should have never sent 200 troops to take the fort. SC had seceded. Of course they fired upon the Union boat. And, when Lincoln sent thee 3 unarmed boats to relieve the fort he was warned it would be a sign of aggression. Lincoln sent the boats anyway, and they were fired upon. At that time SC was like Ukraine and the Union like Russia.

Always this talk of succession coming from the losing side of any given election.

"We didn't win so we should leave the Union!" As useful as a bag of fart no matter which side does it.

Way back when there was that Christian Exodus group that wanted South Carolina to be given to them so they could create their theocratic/guns/anti-choice utopia. I wish we'd leased them the state for a couple decades to see if they could have pulled it off, or descended into Lord of the Flies.

Oh look, silly conspiracy theories. The governor of South Carolina himself ordered that the fort be taken. There’s zero evidence that the south didn’t start the war bud.

The fort was US government property and South Carolina had already ceded all rights to it years earlier. The US had every right to reinforce US troops on US property. The south throwing a hissy fit doesn’t change the facts bud.

No, South Carolina was not like Ukraine, especially since the south was the one who STARTED THE WAR

Gov Pickens was informed of the intent to re-supply the fort. The CSA had the majority of Charleston Harbor fortified. The Governor demanded the fort be evacuated. Lincoln refused, thus the CSA attacked, and not a single person was killed during the battle. At that time the Union was behind enemy lines and subject to the consequences of such.

How long do you think it would take for one of the divorcees to attack the other? Not long I would imagine.
It's like ... Have you met America? We like to attack things.

For the life of me I will never understand why blacks vote for the ones who kept them in physical chains, well democrats do still keep them in fiscal chains.
I generally avoid voting for Democrats from the 1800's.

They were pretty terrible.

Which the US had every right to do, because it was US government property. Duh.

The US had no obligation to turn over US government property because the slavers really, really wanted it.

None of which changes the fact that the south started the war by attacking American soldiers.

But they turned it over right? Union was behind enemy lines

J.R. Majewski, a far-right-wing Republican congressional candidate from Ohio, called for states who supported former President Trump’s failed bid for the White House in 2020 to secede from the U.S.

The MAGA candidate vying to unseat Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio) said after the 2020 election that conservative states have little choice but to leave the union, CNN reported.

Yet another moron who doesn’t understand the Constitution he’d swear to uphold.

I keep being told that warning about the Second Civil War is hyperbole.
Been warning about it for a decade.
I guess it's still hyp-----OOPS...

Is it time for admitting Lincoln was wrong and made a big mistake, and we SHOULD let them secede?

Think about the benefits if we had. No President Nixon and Watergate, no Reagan and massive debt and tax cuts for the rich, no Bush 41 or Bush 43 or trump, no war on universal healthcare, and so on. No more blue states being taxed to subsidize red states.

Rewriting history to suit your lies? Not surprising, ridiculous, but not surprising.

Gee, STILL not an excuse for attacking US soldiers on US government property.
What did they expect? They refused the order to evacuate. They had a chance and the lines were drawn and the Union was BEHIND them

It was U.S. Government property, not property held by traitors. Lies and ignorance, the weapons of the Cons.
