Star Trek or Star Wars?

Only libertarians like Star Trek. Which is ironic since the government in Star Trek is huge.

I like the first 3 Star Wars (4-6) only, but I also only like Star Trek: TNG and DS9.

Star Trek is a BILLION times better than crappy Star Wars.

Yes!!!!! Absotively!!!!! Star Trek, Star Trek Next Generation, Star Trek Enterprise, Star Trek Voyager....much superior franchise!! And Mucho more entertaining!!!!!

Forgot Deep Space 9 -- brilliant franchise!!

Star Wars. Hands down.

Both suffered the same problem...they kept going on. First three Star Wars movies = awesome...the rest, not so much. First Star Trek series = awesome...everything since, not so much(except Wrath of Khan).

The only Star Trek movies I liked were First Contact and the new Star Trek movie.

I think I’ve watched episodes of every single Star Trek show, and I know that I have watched every single Star Wars movie (several times). Further, I've read multiple books based in and beyond the star wars universe portrayed in the movies.

I consider star wars to be by far the better of the two franchises.

FYI, I’ve also watched episodes from all except the most recent StarGate shows (not to mention at least one of the SG movies), and have also watched at least a few episodes of multiple other Science Fiction TV shows - Andromeda, Battlestar Galactica (both the old and new incarnations of it), and a few others come to mind.

Star Wars still my favorite.

The movies four through six (first made), of course, although movie 3 (last made) is probably 4th on the list…

Not entirely sure why I like Star Wars so much, but there it is.

Are you kidding? Star Wars - don't even put the word "trek" in the same sentence. Are there any Trekkies who would dare even show their faces in this thread? LOL Seriously though, this is like comparing the Superbowl to your local H.S. divisional championship game.

Resistance is futile.

Which do YOU enjoy more?
Kirk, Spock, Picard, Janeway or Anikin, Darth, C3PO, Luke, Leia?

I like them both equally. Although I do find it absurd with Star Wars storyline that people have the ability to build warp speed ships, space stations as big as a moon , space battle ships and all sorts of other **** but they can not replace lost limbs with life like human looking prosthetic limbs, cloned body parts, reattach a body part or something to make body tissue regenerate itself. Of course I realize starwars was made in the 70s but the newer movies should have taken that into consideration.

The new first star wars was garbage, Jar Jar Binks should of been beheaded on screen.

Star Trek Next Generation was a great. Picard for the win!

Star Wars... but only because they never made a second season of Firefly.

:rofl

Im virtually socialist and would love to meet a star trek libertarian. :D

BTW. They're not really comparable. Star trek is just FAR to intellectual for a star wars fan.

Sadly, I must agree with you here. Jar Jar just needed to die....................... in a light sabre duel...... by accident or something.

I think the Jedi could of done it and not turn to the dark side, even the force recognizes that Jar Jar needed to be offed.

I've always thought of Star Trek as being *drum roll please* socialist.

I mean...No money in the Federation, really, free access to education if you pass tests, etc... It seems like what socialists wish for in their fondest dreams.

The Klingons, not so much.

And, the relentlessly capitalistic Ferengi are portrayed as villains quite often...
