Spurred By The Capitol Riot, Thousands Of Republicans Drop Out Of GOP

They killed a cop while attacking our capital.

If they stay in the Republican party then we know exactly who they are.
Out of curiosity, have you found any updates on Sicknick's cause of death or the status of the investigation into it? I haven't seen any updates in roughly 2 weeks.

My reading comprehension skills have been a bit dulled by last night's indulgences so I'm having a hard time deciding if that was a "yes" or a no". Any chance you can clarify?

Colorado once again leading the way in reason and logic. Republicans jumping ship because of the mess Trump and his Cult put them into. I guess the LP isn't the crazy party any more, lol.
The future of the GOP...

Well if they fall to a party of Trump Chumps, then they probably won't be relevant any longer.
Trump will try to keep his cult fired up and vocal. Conservative Americans will either be homeless or wearing noseplugs for four years.
I'm actually surprised Trump has been so silent lately.

I think that if people like Trump keep getting pushed, that they'll just stop showing up at the polls. And since the national election is generally 50/50 + noise, their absence will start to result in the GOP losing consistently.

Well, if they don't make videos of it on YouTube using the phrase "Stride Elsewhere," then it can't be real....

Anyway. People switch or drop out of political parties all the time. If Republican candidates get destroyed in the 2022 elections, then I think we can talk about a real shift as a result of changing party identities.

As of two weeks ago. They haven't said shit since, which leads me to believe they like someone for it.

As bad as Obama was, he was no where near as bad and damaging as Trump.

I dont really care about relativism. Both were elected on emotion, so was Biden. So will the next President. So long as we play these factional games, it wont change.

Hold my beer!

But seriously, this is a dumb story. 75 million people voted for Trump. These 4600 people probably voted for Trump and will vote for the next Republican. Every election the GOP is pronounced dead, then Trump gets elected, then Trump gets a record number of votes. This is just meaningless noise generated by the liberal confirmation bias media.

Trump lost the WH, the House and the Senate, all in his first (and only) term. The worst record since Hoover. Trump has damaged the GOP. Fact.

They will still vote Republican.

That's not what happened in 2020. Many Never-Trumpers voted for Biden, playing a large part in handing Biden his victory.

Is it Christmas again, so soon? 😊

Everything is relative. And I'd still have taken Gary Johnson over Hillary or Trump.
He ended up being nothing more than a part of the Clinton campaign when his running mate admitted their goal was to take conservative votes away from Trump. His seething ignorance on foreign affairs was embarrassing

IMO, not meaningful until we see millions to tens of millions drop affiliation.

Biden was elected because of nostalgia for the Obama years, and because he had the best chance of beating Trump. Game, set, match.

You say this, yet per exit polls (which are admittedly flawed), Trump received 94% of the Republican vote in 2020, significantly more than the 88% he received in 2016.

And yet, the GOP house minority leader is meeting with Trump in Florida kissing his ass. They re-elected Ronna McDaniel despite the loses her party saw in 4 years. The GOP is done at this point. They've sold their souls to a Reality T.V. Star because they are terrified of a radical base they themselves created.

We've seen the same since 2016. Lots of Republicans that adhere to the collectivist, "big government" branch of the party headed off after the 2016 election. More left after this election. It happens.

Trump's election was the result of a split between those that believe in collective liberty and those that believe in individual liberty. The collectivists were bound to head away from the party that, historically, supported individual rights and individual liberty. I'm sure they'll make fine Democrats.

Weeks ago, Democrats were socialists, now, Republicans are socialists.

When do we get to conclude your allegiance to Trump is cult-like?

And you think this wasn't planned decades ago.

I disagree. Biden won because he was the better candidate. Nostalgia had nothing to do with it. Biden is smarter than Trump (not hard), better equipped and far more experienced and able.

Some left the party. There's been a slight decrease in the size of the party, with Trump's percentage consequently making-up a larger share.
