Yeah, Simón was cautiously predicting this a couple of days ago, saying peak might be reached yesterday or today.A slight glimmer for you guys!

They're on one of the Spanish terrestrial channels too (can't remember which one) and have me reaching for the remote immediately. Jeez, what a bore.Started watching Turkish TV series on Netflix...thats how bored I am getting.
I've reduced to inside things but need to saw and sand and wait for a window of dryness to do that outside. Much to and fro as the clouds look more threatening or less. This weather is driving me nuts. So much to do around the house, but it is outside grr.
diabetic from what I've heard. Complicating factor. As for the situation in Spain. There is a story about the Madrid man who fled to Malaga with his handicapped brother. The man had Covid and died, but his brother was locked in the same house with his dead body for days and is now also infected.
Actually not bad series. The Protector on Netflix. Also saw a English-Turkish series about the fall of Constantinople...very good and highly recommended. They're on one of the Spanish terrestrial channels too (can't remember which one) and have me reaching for the remote immediately. Seems relatives in Madrid raised the alarm when they couldn't contact the two for days and the local police went to have a look.

Sunday (only) should show a brief respite but every outside work (house, retaining walls etc.) will take more than just one day. So I'm leaving it at least til May.Actually not bad series. I have stuff to do inside but looking at the weather prediction has me wanting to stretch it out..or I am just lazy as hell.

The Turkish series on "Divinity Channel" (I think) is corny love story type crap. I'm not on Netflix but if this carries on, might waver.
Gubmint here has ordered all non-essential businesses to close. That means more workers precluded from going to work.
There was no restriction on going to work. There was restrictions on what work that could be done...for example most shops were closed. But office workers could go if needed and construction workers and such.Which non-essentials businesses were still working?

Now it is down to a specific pre defined industries. Sucks because I am getting a builder tomorrow to fix my roof, but sure if he will show up.

Wouldn't entertain any hopes on that one, seeing how my Spanish builder friend just told me that everything stops for him tomorrow.~............. Sucks because I am getting a builder tomorrow to fix my roof, but sure if he will show up.
Well I am a little hopeful as it is an emergency since one of my wooden things (dunno what they are called in English) holding up the roof has broken....the problem of having a 200 year old house. Atm the area is supported by some metal and wood supports, so it should hold but would like a more robust support in place till the crisis is over and it can be fixed. A bit worried about the alerted downpours coming on Tuesday and yes there is a hole in the roof because of this collapse.. Small but it is there. Thankfully I basically have 2 roofs so the main house is safe kinda, but still.Wouldn't entertain any hopes on that one, seeing how my Spanish builder friend just told me that everything stops for him tomorrow.
Yeah, sucks.
I believe you're speaking of a roof beamWell I am a little hopeful as it is an emergency since one of my wooden things (dunno what they are called in English) holding up the roof has broken....
if you're going to declare an emergency (dunno if the possibility exists in these times) I wouldn't officially let on about having that (bolded) alternative. And I mean with any source of authority that might or might not grant an exemption, not the builder.the problem of having a 200 year old house. Yeah it sucks but OTH drawing demarcation lines in zig-zag would suck too.
But still, good luck, hope it can all be solved.
feared as much.No roofer today as expected.
:thumbs:Good news is that the infection rate is down for the 3 day in a row and the death rate is down as well. Here is hoping it continues.
~Waiting todays numbers and hoping for the best ~
