Soyuz hole was drilled from the inside

Someone cracked, or their psychological testing isnt what it used to be.

Either way, they ought to send a corporate fixer up into space to solve the problem, someone like Stilicho Jones... ;)

I think we know that there is zero chance this was an accident, someone put this hole here on purpose....Who When and Why to be determined.

This thing will be abandoned soon, it was a nearly total waste, it accomplished almost nothing more than keeping the money flowing to the Shuttle which never should have been built....Good Old American Corruption is the Big Story here....but I dont want anyone dying before that.

Way back in September they say......

.....The module was built by Russian company Energia, and a former employee told Russian media that technicians there have made similar mistakes in the past. On one occasion, a technician accidentally drilled through the hull of a re-entry module and tried to cover it up by sealing the hole with epoxy—he was found out, though, and sacked.....

Hole in Russian Space Module Was Drilled, Cosmonauts Find | Fortune

......The hole is in a section of the Soyuz ship that is discarded in orbit and not used to carry people back to Earth.......

IIRC(was some time ago)I read that there was a panel that needed to be removed to make the repair/gain access the hole. Otherwise wouldn't that hole have be noticeable to all ?

Russian spacecraft/stations have a robust history of "Interesting" quality control issues going back to the beginning, that is likely at the core of this.

….Ayup…

"The cause of the hole remains under investigation, however. Early speculation centered on a possible micrometeoroid strike, but now human error is strongly suspected. Indeed, the hole's circular shape suggests a drilling mishap, as do nearby marks on the module wall.
The incident may have occurred during the final assembly or testing of the Soyuz, according to the new report, published today (Sept. 6) by the Russian news agency TASS. Both of these activities take place at facilities run by the Soyuz's builder, Russian aerospace company Energia, in the city of Korolyov, near Moscow."

If you **** up drilling on an object designed to hold human beings in space I feel like you should probably tell someone.
