With the current legislative make up, this probably wont get passed the Assembly but its good to see that somebody is attempting to do something constructive in Albany. My state senator is a co-sponsor.

From what I've heard, I don't think it's possible for anything constructive to come out of Albany.

This is also true, once in awhile the oligarchs have to throw us a bone. My cynical side says its only been introduced because the entire Senate is up for reelection.

Yeah, and even if it passes, we'll see how much the Republicans in the state legislature will resist the Republicans in Congress the next time the latter tries to use the federal government to exceed it's authority.
