A federal judge ruled the special counsel has presented evidence that Donald Trump may have broken the law in his handling of classified documents, sources told ABC News.

Basically they have evidence trump lied to his lawyers and they have audio of it.
He lied about classified documents from the start.

If you did nothing wrong you don't lie.

How much longer you guys gonna be lied to and go down with the ship?

Are you ever going to come to the realization that maybe it is Trump who is the corrupt criminal and not everybody else? Why is that so far-fetched in your brain, when the guy acts like a criminal and is being bombarded with legal woes left and right? You truly believe it's * everyone * out to get trump? I dont think you believe this. If you have any functioning brain cells left, which clearly you do because you're smart enough to debate on a debate board, I think you may realize it, but don't want to admit it. Let's say hypothetically one of these charges lead to Trump being convicted and unable to run in 2024. Would you be happy about that.?

Being convicted does not disqualify him from running, it just mortally tarnishes his candidacy.

He may win the primary, but I believe the strategy the dems, and never Trumpers have employed for the last 6 years has inflicted too much damage for him to win the general. Call it "Trump fatigue". There are a block of republicans that won't vote for him regardless, as well as Ind's/swing voters that want no part of the constant "Trump war", that's sure to continue if he runs. So, I don't want him to run either, but for a different reason. I don't think he will win, unless somebody like Kamala or Bernie is the opponent. If Desantis is the pubbie candidate, there's nobody on the dem bench that can beat him. (that's considering M.O. doesn't run) She has said she has no interest in running, but if she did, against Desantis, that would be the battle of the century.

I'm working with the information I have, which is that Trump is well ahead of DeSantis.

 
DeSantis is the Scott Walker of 2024. If he does run, and I doubt he will as there is no upside for him, he won't get past Trump. If he did get past Trump, Trump is not going to sit on the sidelines, assuring a Dem win.

2024 is not a good year for Republicans. They will rue the day they did not vote to disqualify him from holding office in the 2021 impeachment trial.

Polls haven't been very accurate as of late, let alone polling 2 years out, when some candidates haven't even declared their candidacy. But hey, ya never know, huh?

I agree. How can you trust a guy that lies about classified documents? I agree. If you didn't do anything wrong, you don't have to lie about it.

What would be surprising about that? He lies to everybody.

If you’re gong to try that attorney/client Privelege claim, remember that it doesn’t apply to criminal activity.
