War & Reconstruction
For Bush’s critics, even hindsight is cloudy.

This is the mantra of the extreme Left: "Bush lied, thousands died", "no-blood-for oil", "Halliburton's neocon war for Israel." A softer version from politicians now often follows: "If I knew then what I know now, I would never have supported the war."

When this is all over, and there is a legitimate government in the Middle East that represents the aspirations of a free people, the stunning achievement of our soldiers will be at last recognized, the idealism of George Bush and the United States will be appreciated, our critics here and abroad will go mute — and one of the 23 writs for a necessary war of liberation will largely be forgotten.

Yeah, it takes a lot of thought to print someone else's words.

I'd prefer you putting your thoughts into your own words.

Moderator's Warning:
In order to post someone else's material (copyrighted material in particular) there are a two (2) guidelines that must be followed.
#1 All material posted from copyrighted material MUST contain a link to the original work. All means all and must means must. All such material must contain a link to the original source.

POLITICAL JEDI, your piece did not have a link to the original source. In the future, please provide a links for your c&p projects.

And in ADDITON to this

#2 Please do not post entire articles. I'm not sure how to clarify this.
POLITICAL JEDI, you posted the entire article. Please do not do this.
What you should have done:
Proper format is to paraphrase the contents of an article and/or post relevant excerpts and then link to the rest.

Also from Forum Rules
17. Starting a Thread: When starting a thread it is best to express your own thoughts in your own words. Threads w/o original content may be summarily closed.

It's fitting, fine, well, and good that the initial, thread-starting post (called the thread's Original Post- OP for short) quotes another person or document. References, particularly in matters of fact, are encouraged. But they are no substitute for your own thoughts in your own words.

Using your own words in your OP encourages participation. By starting the conversation with a contribution of your own time and effort, you show potential participants you are serious in your intention to engage in dialogue. It says that if they reply to your posts, you are likely to respond to theirs.

These guidelines, as well as others can be found here Forum Rules

Thanks, your humble mod,

Does he say when this will all be over?

This assumes that there will be a legitimate government in Iraq after all is said and done, which is a big if. There is a good chance that, like all the other countries with elections in the middle east i.e. lebanon, palestine, egypt, Iraqis will just elect terrorist groups to their government. If you are a Shiite and have been oppressed by Saddam and the Sunnis since the 1980s, would you be want to all of a sudden live in peace and harmony together, or would you take the chance to finally establish a Shiite majority in the government? Which realistically could lead to an anti-American/Israeli alliance between Iran and Iraq, assuming that Iraq establishes a Shiite government, which, it goes without saying, would be bad.

LOL! Sometimes sarcasm is becoming.

I already knew that HE didn't create that. Before you moderized him I saw at the very bottom of the post "Copyright Symbol thingy - Victor Hansen".

I applauded the time it took him to find that article. Besides, I heard something similar from Rush Limbaugh before. So I already knew Jedi didn't fabricate those words.

So no sarcasm from me this time.
