Most Americans don't appreciate the power of controlling information. They have not experienced a society which has such strong control - and don't recognize its power when they *voluntarily* accept an information bubble offered by right-wing media designed to manipulate, anger, and misinform them. That's how you can get "Qanon" and most Republicans actually accepting trump lying the election was stolen, that climate change is a hoax and so on.

But the problem is far worse elsewhere. In North Korea, 'Great Leader' is essentially worshipped by most - in spite of some recognizing otherwise and risking their lives to flee. I saw a documentary showing a group of western eye doctors who went to North Korea and operated on a large group of poor North Koreans who were blind and restored their site, and it was very moving to watch when the bandages were taken off and they could see.

They were all in tears of joy, and loudly thanks and praising... Kim Jong-Un for his gift of sight.

China almost totally controls information; they allow in a small carefully selected number of Hollywood movies which have not one word they don't like, which are now made intentionally to please the party to try to get selected. The effect on China can't be described of in a post IMO. But as some describe, China hides the horrific effect behind the language barrier, so that the incredible racism, wishing for nuclear war against the west, things like praisnig Putin for the war in Ukraine saying they want him to kill all Ukrainians and praising their being raped, on and on, with all the messages encouraged by the government because any message they don't like is removed, often with the person who said it arrested. The 'brainwashing' from that control is hard to describe. It's because of this a group of Chinese dissidents have created the 'Great Translation Project' to expose what is being said behind the wall.

Russia has recently removed the small percent of media that was independent, and we see the stories of how the population is affected, with a reported 80% supporting Putin and the war, we see stories from Ukrainians who call relatives and Russia and are told they're lying when they describe the war - despite the small percent who see through it and protest - now largely silenced - and flee the country.

This is powerful stuff and a lesson for the importance of having media not controlled by any interest who wants to use it to hide the truth.

Let's go back to China. They have an ubiquitous social media app called 'Wechat' the Chinese people are glued to. It only allows the party's messages, and the people widely accept them. It has such a strong effect, that anti-CCP activists who lived in China for a decade and moved to the US with their Chinese wives say that many Chinese who move to the west, including their own wives, choose to remain glued to Wechat and the party propaganda as their only news source.

And in that app, there are thousands of words that simply cannot be typed ranging from 'Tiananmen Square' with many spellings, to references to Winnie the Pooh who their leader gets compared to in appearance. Along with anything about Uyghers, Tibet, Taiwan, and so on. Type any of these thousands of words and they just don't go through.

The above is an important topic, but here's the Amazon connection. Amazon is proving a 'chat' application to its workers - and the application reportedly bans many words, including "union", restrooms", "pay raise", "slave labor", "living wage", "diversity", and "plantation". The same technique used by Communist China. The lesson here is to be aware of the power of these controls of information and try to oppose them on principle.

The Biden pukes know a lot about controlling information. They have Big Tech in their pocket to control what they call "mis/dis information". But it's okay when the Biden pukes give the American people mis/dis information.

Welcome to the slippery slope of cancel culture, surveillance state, corporate-gov't partnerships, and controlled media.

You voted for that.
