Well, the rhetoric worked for Trump and Rocketman, right?

I prefer fact, though...


We know that China's reluctance to come to a deal with Trump is causing Chinese connections to US businesses to become strained and the longer China resists, the worse it'll get. We know that Trump has been very active in poisoning possible trade relations between China and important players in Asia. China needs to think about where else they can sell their stuff and Russia is a no-brainer...hence these overtures by Xi.

But Xi is smart enough to understand that Russia cannot replace the US. Russia just doesn't have the GDP. China will have to look elsewhere, as well. Can we expect Xi to present a Panda or three to countries in the EU?

Regardless of whoever is the President of the United States of America, whoever is the dictator of China will have to learn to play ball with the United States.

The USA will remain the leading economic and military power in the world for at least several more decades.
