Some pterosaurs had colorful plumage

Studies suggest that they had feathers that evolved before the dinosaurs & are found in birds as well as pterosaurs.

A very well preserved skull of Tupandactylus imperator where soft tissue was preserved shows the presence of the color-forming bodies called melanosomes.

I would like to think they had resplendent and colorful iridescent plumage like that of quetzals.

Thank you. I was thrown off by the “page 14” reference and did not attempt to scroll (from page 334).
