The solution to racial strife, in multi-racial communities, is literally to ignore it until it goes away. Don't act on racial prejudices, don't pay social attitudes toward race any heed, and don't let those who do get in your way or mistreat anyone you're associated with.

The problem with racism is that different "races" of people are treated as being separate entities, when they are citizens of the same government and residents of the same communities. And the reason that this problem persists is that everyone who tries to "solve" racism perpetuates it-- by continuing to treat different racial groups as different or special.

racism is caused by that isolation, not cured by it. I dont believe racism will every go away completely, but the more the races interact with eachother on a day to day basis, the less racism there will be. the nationalism you speak of sets each race against the other races.

There is a difference between nationalism and racism.Nationalism is a synonymous with patriotism in other words it is loyal to one's own country not one's own race.Nationalism crosses racial and ethnic boundaries.

Make up your mind. Are you talking about racism or nationalism? They are two very different propositions.

So? How about a little example of what happens in this sort of situation. Look at dog breeds. There are negative traits, such as hip dysplasia, that are prevalent in certain breeds because their gene pool was limited to only dogs like them. Mongrels are generally hardier and don't have problems associated with being a mongrel. It is generally the purebreeds that have associated health problems.

However, nationalists wish to do this peacefully and with respect for all other people.

Just to try to help, nationalism is about nations. Nations are geographical and political constructs. Nationalism is not defined by race.
