During difficult times solitude is solace for the introverted, misery for everyone else.

That first video is a great example of the sadness of solitude and the sad state of affairs that many find themselves in. As we all have at some point in our lives found ourselves in a very sad situation, I have never turned to liquor to forget those times. I pity those that cannot face their own problems and simply want to forget.

Sometimes, being able to forget--even for just awhile--is a blessing. And it's also true that there are some of us who crave and who celebrate solitude. Being lonely is different from being alone.

It's one of those conundrums. I hate having people around me until there are no people around me. Then, I long for people to be around me.

I agree, I was also in that situation for a while.

My sentiments exactly. People are like kids in that I can stand them for short doses. And if you don't return favors or act tolerant, there won't be anyone else around. The worst thing to do is try to make sense out of and care about what everyone is saying.
