Social Media Death Sentence

Just a few comments on having my personal Facebook account decapitated, wondering if that has happened to anyone else here, and wanted to compare notes.
I routinely download all my data and had done that about two weeks before it happened.
I don't even know what I did, the screen just went blank and suddenly "YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DISABLED" and I had to get a "code" they sent to my mobile but of course the code never comes, so I can't even request a review or ask for an appeal.
This is the first time in my twelve years this has happened to me.

I have an alternate account and tons of my friends (both online and IRL) have accepted my friend requests, so it feels like awakening from a coma and learning you're going to be okay, but your memory of the past is splintered.

I could easily rebuild almost everything if I wanted to but now I figure at some point they will knock this one out, too...for equally capricious reasons. What actually does hurt is that I admin a group, and that group is now crippled for lack of an admin, and I run two pages which are also limited now by lack of functionality.

I can't rant about "censorship" because it's their private platform and they can run it as they see fit but to leave no recourse as to cleaning up a crippled page whose users suffer is poor customer service.
At the very least they should allow a disabled account owner the chance to do something constructive with those groups and pages if they are not found to be objectionable, even if it's just to download all the assets, shut off the lights and lock the door, or appoint an alternate admin or caretaker in your absence.

Now that I am using my alter ego as a page, Facebook is trying to figure out how to market to me, and it appears they are using a shotgun approach.
This morning I was greeted with Hoppers, Hookers or High School...
decisions decisions...

I don't know all that much about FB. I have an account, but I don't use it much. So I can't help you from any kind of personal experience.

But I did a quick search and found this: What To Do When Your Facebook Account Is Locked or Disabled - CCM

Maybe you've already tried this stuff, but if not...maybe it'll help.

Good luck.

When I had an account, I used to get flagged a lot because their algorithms were over-reliant on IP geo-location and browser configurations. I logged in from a lot of different places and devices and kept having to identify friends from their timeline photos which only makes sense when your friends actually post photos of themselves or family members you know. If it threw you something like a Playbill, you would have to rank your friends on who would never go to a play vs. those who did and randomly guess.
