You can't take over a party you haven't weakened from the inside. And I will die on this F'n hill because they stated their aim from the beginning. Dems have their own Trumpism problem in the making.

I need clarification. What is, definitionally, a "Social Democrat" and what is a "Justice Democrat"? And, describe what is it that you say is their aim? Thx.

"Conservative" guy wants to defend the corporate Democrats from progressives?

Had not heard the term "Justice Democrats" before. Assuming I have the correct website, here's what they claim to be:

OUR MISSION
We need a Democratic Party that fights for its voters, not big corporate donors. Our goal is to build a mission-driven caucus in Congress by electing more leaders like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman, who will represent our communities in Congress and fight for bold, progressive solutions to our current crises.

More leaders like AOC? I think "Idiot Democrats" would make for a more accurate name.

This thread is off to a great start and will end just as well. /s

Those who use the term ‘corporate Democrats’ are best buds with the likes of Greene, Jordan, Trump, Gohmert, and Q.

Preach Brother Jeffries. Cori Bush should be tossed from her committees due to her defund the police lunacy that will hurt ‘real’ Democrats next year.

Where they go off the rails is in the realistic element of taking money out of politics (LOL), making all drugs legal, abolishing ICE, foreign relations with countries in strategic areas (Middle East), and in implementing some of these things - universal health care (that's actually good), free education, jobs for everyone, etc.

The standard Democratic Party will crush them with money/resources just like they did with Sanders unless they modify their desire to work within the party. It's no coincidence why Clinton and Biden were the choices of the establishment. And if they succeed as time goes on, your Biden Democrats will become Republicans.....IMO

I don't know about Republican, but Dems follow what conservatives say is con more than the cons do, since Reagan. The biggest diff being that Republican/con believe in top/trickle down economics where the govt directs money/wealth to the rich and large corps, ignoring the avg and those with less Americans. The Dems supposedly believe in bottom-up, but have obviously have been losing that battle for decades.

A social democrat today is someone who want to build/ preserve or expand the welfare state. Not what the ideology was a hundred years ago, but what it morphed into over time.

Justice Democrats and getting money out of politics are perhaps our best hope!

Why are we better off with corporate bought politicians on both sides, acting in the best interest of corporations who pay them?

Why wouldn't you want more politicians to stop taking corporate money? Why wouldn't you want them representing their constituents instead?

Common sense clearly isn't a common American trait.

What you described is a liberal. A Social Democrat is one who promotes production, distribution, and exchange be owned or regulated by the community as a whole, socialism, but be so chosen by a democracy.

Thanks for the concern trolling.

No that's a Democratic Socialist. And close to what a Social Democrat used to be, before they fell in love with the welfare state. And no, a liberal is not that. A liberal is someone who wants freedom to do whatever they want with as few restraints as possible, and need a strong justfication for any constraints by the government.

Why are you confusing the debate by bringing up definitions to words that almost nobody uses any more?

It's your claim. I made a counter claim. You show me your proof, I'll show you mine. Without evidence, your claim on what is a Social Democrat is unfounded and dismissed, without need for further debate.

Look at any party program for a Social Democratic party and you won't find the Abolish Capitalism or End the Class Struggle anywhere anymore. Look at parties further to the left (Democratic Socialists) and you'll find it.

No. You don't tell me to go look. It's your claim. YOU provide the evidence. Otherwise, see you on another thread.
