Trumpians touting and spinning polls claiming Trump lead in euthusiasm. They were wrong then, or trump just keeps going down, down, down.........

The first night of the Republican National Convention drew 15.8 million viewers across six networks, a significant falloff from the 18.7 million who tuned in to the Democratic National Convention’s debut evening.

That doesn't mean anything, in fact it could mean the opposite of what you're implying. I didn't watch the RNC because I'm so enthused about voting for Trump I feel it's not necessary for me to watch it.

6 Quick Takeaways From The First Night Of The Republican National Convention

The Republican National Convention had a better first night than the Democratic National Convention had any night last week.

Last week’s Democratic National Convention was barely watchable. People assumed that was because the Chinese coronavirus forced the convention to be held virtually. But the Republican National Convention is also being held virtually, and it was full of energy and excitement that was completely lacking at the Democratic convention.

Democrats had celebrity hosts, celebrity appearances, and all the talent of the generally liberal media to work with, yet their convention was an absolute grind to get through. Last night, Republicans moved along at a clipped pace, featured genuinely compelling stories, and the speeches drew contrasts with political opponents.

The best part about the election is going to be watching all the backbiting and recriminations as the leftists turn on each other after Grandpa loses.

Trump supporters more enthusiastic than Biden's: poll

Supporters of President Trump are more enthusiastic about their candidate than those who back presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, according to a new poll.

In The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey, 42 percent of Trump supporters polled described themselves as excited heading into the election, while 31 percent of Biden supporters said the same.

Nearly three-quarters of Biden's supporters, 72 percent, also described themselves as anxious about the election, compared to 52 percent of Trump backers who said the same.

And 65 percent of Biden supporters surveyed said they are frustrated about the upcoming election, compared to 45 percent of Trump supporters.

6 Quick Takeaways From First Night Of Republican National Convention

Washington (CNN)The Republican National Convention started off with a parade of dishonesty, in stark contrast with last week's Democratic convention. While CNN also watched and fact-checked the Democrats, those four nights combined didn't have the number of misleading and false claims made on the first night of the Republicans' convention

Parscale: 'Can't believe I have to watch the convention on CNN' after Fox News shifts away

Brad Parscale, President Trump's former campaign manager, said Monday night that he watched the Republican National Convention on CNN after Fox News aired commentary instead of some speeches.

"Can't believe I have to watch the convention on @CNN. Unbelievable. @FoxNews," Parscale wrote while Fox News cut away from a convention speech by Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk for a Tucker Carlson interview with Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.).

You couldn't watch much of the Republican convention on FOX. Hannity and other old talking heads are so into themselves that they would how a silent 2/3rd of the convention what Hannity mouthed off like an ego maniac - interviewing the likes such as Lindsey Graham etc - meaning I didn't watch it other than checking back to see if he had shut up.

Whether through sheer coincidence — or not — “Uncle Tom” was one of the top trending topics on Twitter Tuesday morning following the opening night of the Republican National Convention (RNC) that featured several Black men making the case for Donald Trump to be re-elected.

More than 6,000 “Uncle Tom” tweets were posted following speeches from Democratic Georgia State Rep. Vernon Jones, former professional football star Herschel Walker and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott. They each took turns trying to dispel any notion of racism in America or among its leadership despite Trump’s repeated personal demonstrations to the contrary

So much ado about nothing; like the last 2 years of campaigning (badmouthing the 'other' guy) isn't a sufficient lack of information to make anyone decide what party they will (will not) vote for - if either. Since partisan politicians blindly follow and vote along some obscure party platform line, why do we need so many legislators for so few original ideas anyway? It's just sad how may voters are pushed to one side or the other when the vast majority are average regular middle-of-the-road. Our current 2-party system only serves politicians, and not the citizens they are elected to represent.

Party on!

C-SPAN’s livestream.
Approximately 440,000 people tuned in to watch the first night of the virtual GOP convention on Monday

Compared to DNC digital/ online viewing:

Digital viewing was up dramatically. T.J.
