Snowe Removal in 2012?

And it sounds like this could be a Dem pickup in 2012 if the tea party gets their way and nominates some whack job.
 
depends on the candidate; could be an ODonnell; or it could be a Rubio.
 
One valid Dem strategy would be to start hitting vulnerable Republican incumbents hard and early. There are four potentially competitive seats (my my quick eyeball of the map) the GOP holds: Scott Brown in Mass, Olympia Snowe in Maine, John Kyle in Arizona, and John Ensign in Nevada. Every dollar the GOP is forced to spend in those states is a dollar that's not going to Nebraska or Montana. But also remember, Obama is going to be actually campaigning in 12. Obama is a master fundraiser and one of the savviest campaigners to come down the pike. It's going to be a boon if he continues to bring out voters like he did in 08
