Did I say "you" or "they"?What are you talking about? Trump was mentioned in the OP...
Corporate hack, Michael Smerconish, tried to paint an illusion for his audience that Elon Musk is brilliant, Tony Stark-esque moderate who'd usher in a new glorious age of Twitter. His own audience wasn't buying it.
And proof that Elon Musk is a right-wing lunatic is that he calls people who disagree with him pedophiles. He's disgusting.
Also, Elon Musk is a subpar coder and never invented a single thing worth a dime. He's just another con artist who cracked the code on exploiting capitalism through self-promotion. Just like Donald Trump and that Theranos girl.
Lol....Musk's businesses are wildly successful, which includes getting us back into space and growing the electric vehicle market. Your response? Paypal. A very basic online pay company. That's funny. He was literally ousted from Paypal by Peter Thiel's team (the guy who actually made Paypal a success) for being grossly toxic and incompetent, and only scored the windfall that made the rest of his fortune possible because of his existing stake in the company from daddy's blood emerald money. This has largely established the guy's MO going forward: throw tons of money at people far more technically capable and competent than you and hope they make you rich, then generally try and take all of the credit. Let's not forget this is the guy whose spaghetti code he spent days and nights working on had to be thrown out and replaced wholesale by the work of actually competent coders because it was unsalvageably bad... something he threw an absolute bitch fit over because he's a childish narcissist.
The dude undeniably excels at raising money and being a shameless hype man (he may even be one of history's all time greats in this regard), but that's about where his talents begin and end.
Musk is right-wing? List his political positions.
Yeah...he's just a maroon...that somehow lucked into building businesses that are advancing technology, which includes getting us into space again, which our bloated government with NASA was struggling to do. Hell, NASA wasn't even building our own rocket engines and had to buy them from Russia.
I don't think any of us really understand Musk. He is a very complicated man.
1. Pro-pedo accusations = truePro-pedo accusations, small government libertarian (while having been bankrolled by the government), pro-corporation. Little or no regulations. He basically runs a sweat shop. He ran to Texas because he was getting scrutiny over his companies from environmental and work conditions. His companies are RIFE with racism. He engages in pump and dump schemes to enrich himself.
See...it's statements like this that really tips your hand in how utterly bunk your position is.He builds carnival rides to space for billionaires.
1. Pro-pedo accusations = true
2. Libertarian =/= right wing.
3. The left is currently the biggest pro-corporation group out there.
4. Expound on where you are getting your "little to no regulation" claim.
5. Sweat shops? Huh?
6. Texas isn't a sweat shop or anything else. It gets businesses because of lower taxes. Many companies have left California to Texas. That's a business decision and not left/right.
7. Really? Support your claim.
Complicated doesn't make him different just not one who can't defined by a few words. His ideas may seem terrible to some but they are definitely a tad risky and he goes for it. I have no particular opinions of Musk one way or the other, except to say I think he can be very flaky and I think he good be a sorta modern version of Howard Hughes. Many humans are complicated. What makes Musk different? He has terrible ideas, so he's not a genius. See his hyperloop. How was this project ever green lit?

As I say...I have no opinion one way or the other about Musk. I certainly haven't fallen for his shtick, whatever that is. He has simply not been on my radar much. The bit I have seen of him he strikes me as an odd eccentric with a ton of money that he uses for toys that interest him.I don't see much that separates Elon Musk from Trump. Seems like you kinda fell for his shtick, if I'm being honest.

Elon Musk accumulated a lot of wealth by suckering people like you into believing he's Tony Stark. I already conceded that he cracked the code that allowed him to exploit capitalism, which is to a large extent a system that rewards con artists.
How could I fall for a shtick I have never heard? Who said that? When did they say it? I truly have had very limited exposure to Musk outside of the news he makes re Tesla and of course his space initiatives. The few times I have seen him interviewed he seems to be a tad whacky but I also recognize he has been incredibly successful and I do think he has an interesting entrepreneurial streak. Politically, I have no idea where he stands....he seems to have a foot in both camps. I think he is a very complicated person.... and my thoughts are not that complicated.'Musk is so mysterious. He has a one in a million brain. Can we really understand such a man?'
That shtick.
The point is that the windfall that allowed him to throw money at Tesla and Space X came from venture capital that was his father's ill gotten blood emerald money and from a company whose success he had less than nothing to do with and; that he was booted from for toxicity and incompetence:Lol....Musk's businesses are wildly successful, which includes getting us back into space and growing the electric vehicle market. Libertarian is neither right or left wing on the political scale. He's not a left-wing libertarian.
So are progressives.Corporate Dems are right-wing.

There are regulations in Texas, just more reasonable ones. Your comment is silly, and you don't actually have a problem with oligarchs, so long as they agree with you. Did you freak out when Bezos bought the WaPo or the Sulzberger family running the NYT?He ran there because of regulators. The right-wing allow him to do anything, because he's an oligarch.

He's a modern pharaoh. Rich, because people before him were rich, and held up as a god by those who didn't win the geopolitical lottery, and cant simply snap their fingers into wealth. Understandable, but foolish.
The older I get, the more I conclude a stable family life is probably the biggest accomplishment any human can have. Musk falls very, very low on those rankings.
I guess every "great" man has a shitty family life, but Musk isnt solving quantum theory in his spare time.

Meanwhile, he had exactly nothing to do with the technology developed by Tesla and Space X save for the money from Paypal he didn't earn, the cash he begged investors for, and generous government handouts.
Of course they did; his unearned blood emerald money from daddy Warbucks became an unearned Paypal windfall which he in turn threw at Tesla and Space X, without which they would haven't been able to develop.Your point is ****ing dumb because none of that created these wildly successful companies that are pushing the boundaries in many tech areas and has resulted in him being the richest man in the world.
Libertarian socialists are not left wing?Libertarian is neither right or left wing on the political scale.
Lots of people get money from their parents. That's not unique at all. What's unique is what he has created.Of course they did; his unearned blood emerald money from daddy Warbucks became an unearned Paypal windfall which he in turn threw at Tesla and Space X, without which they would haven't been able to develop.
The bottom line is this: Musk had exactly nothing to do with the success of these companies, their R&D or their technology beyond being a money man and a promoter.
