A slight majority of Americans view Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. favorably, according to an NBC News poll released Monday.

Among those questioned, 51 percent view him favorably, while 48 percent view him unfavorably, including a majority of Democrats surveyed.

The online poll of 19,410 respondents, conducted May 30 to June 10, had a margin of error of 2.1 percentage points.

 

That is disturbing AF. It does not bode well for the health and intelligence of our nation.
 
We already knew that about half of US citizens are below average intelligence so no surprise here.
 
Could 2% even name the previous HHS secretary? 51% favorable is incredible. MAHA
 
When only 24% of Americans know who the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is, I doubt that most respondents even know who RFK Jr. is, what he believes or that there even is a department of health and human services
 

I approve of several of his views, especially when it comes to Big Pharma and Big Food industries. The first prefers to make "treatments" rather than cures for diseases because there is no long-term profit in cures. It's always "treatments" as in annual vaccines, coupled with medicines to deal with symptoms. This is supported by hospitals and IMO most of the physicians who depend on a steady stream of patients to fund their earnings as well as kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies for "recommending" specific medicines.

The second depends on people eating their "junk food" concoctions, hence all the sugar-infused foods, and all the heavily processed foods with all sorts of additive chemicals. That includes fast food companies. Anyone remember how good McDonald's burgers were once upon a time, pre-"Mad Cow?" Now they serve burgers made out of "soup-meat" on buns made mostly of air-pockets. They don't satisfy hunger and lead to people eating more just to feel full. That is assisted by the highly "greasy-like" French fries. That doesn't touch on all the "soft" drinks carbonated and otherwise.

I could discuss the various breakfast cereals, all the "snack foods" that line the shelves near cash registers for impulse buys (candy, cookies, snack cakes, etc.). But I think people get the point.

So I am glad we have someone like RFK Jr. looking out for us, because he is telling the truth about the above.
 
More than a fringe minority believe:

* Vaccines cause autism
* HIV does not cause AIDS
* Do not know the difference between correlation and causation
* Ivermectin is a legitimate treatment for COVID-19

So if you are wondering why RFK Jr. is popular...........
 
And germs don't exist. Many of them believes germs don't exist.
 


Are you not normally libertarian in leaning regarding government intervention in personal decisions?
 
I tought food regulation is "Communism". At least that's what you always accuse other countries that has food regulations of being.
 

He’s the first HHS Secretary to market fast food fries as a health food, of course plenty of people are going to love what he’s selling.

Finally someone bold enough to tell the median voter that the reason they feel lousy after eating a family size bag of Doritos solo is that it has yellow dye in it! Easy fix, munch on, folks.
