4 of those nations are embarking on active programs, says the IEAE. They are Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia. Two more nations have expressed interest. They are Tunisia and the UAE.

My question is this: Are we going to go to war with all of them?

Article is here.

Why should we prevent them from using nuclear energy? We allowed Isreal to get it, so why not them? (and yes thats thier argument)

as far as Egypt, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia are concerned, I don't mind them having nuclear weapons. They don't fancy world domination like North Korea and Iran. Hell, they're our allies. The other countries however,..meh... I wouldn't mind the UAE, but then again, they did try to buy off our ports.

Terrible news. Israel is doomed...

And Mecca, Cairo, and Algiers, ten minutes later.

We should end Iran's nuclear program, by force if necessary. This will show these other countries that their actions are unacceptable, and will eliminate one of the main justifications for their building a nuclear program in the first place.

I doubt that Algeria and Morocco (or Tunisia and the UAE) will ever get very far with a nuclear program. It's certainly frightening if Egypt and Saudi Arabia pursue nuclear weapons, because the alternatives to those governments are much worse governments. Hopefully they can be coerced to not build nuclear weapons. If not, we may have to live with them as nuclear powers.

I said well over a year ago that if Shi'a Iran's nuclear program was not placed under strict IAEA safeguards, Arab Sunni nations would feel compelled to respond in kind. This is a predicted domino effect of allowing nuclear proliferation anywhere.

I think the first war would be between Sunni and Shi'a nations first.

Hopefully not, but it's a good thing we chose to declare war on terror.
