This question is posed with the supposition and or understanding that a liberal woman would never marry a liberal man, as it would go against her social orthodoxy to do so. If all liberal women are feminists (as I believe they are)--then they espouse the belief that married men rape their wives every time they make a distorted attempt to make love. Its been the feminist belief that women would be better off excluding men from their lives altogether. And if liberal women stayed clear of men as is their want, yet still wanted to raise children while in a relationship; they could always adopt a Rosie-type affair by having another liberal woman as their live-in lover, and adopt as many children as they like. If the liberal woman chooses to be homo celibate yet still wants children, she could always opt to choose her new hand-picked family from a variety of anonymous sperm banks.
Back to marrying a liberal man:
I have a traditional belief that the man in the marriage works hard to bring home the bacon for the little lady and little tots. Men have been raised since childhood to uphold the manly man role as it pertains to the marriage pact, and that includes fighting for and protecting his trophy wife and kids.
Just how would a woman get to feel a sense of security and a dedicated love from a husband if he were a liberal? The liberal husband would be telling her not to worry about his finding a worthwhile and goal-oriented job since the government keeps supplying them with food stamps and welfare monies. And if the slim chance that McDonalds accepts his application as a burger flipper, he would assure his dear wife that their poverty woes will be a thing of the past, as word has it that his minimum hourly wage as a burger flipper would soon be increased from $ 5.75 an hour to $7.15 an hour. She might be getting her first microwave oven as a Christmas gift if the minimum wage hike goes through congress.
And when the threat of terrorist bombs revisit the homeland, will the new wife feel secure in knowing that the man in the family (the one supposedly wearing the pants) decides to hitchhike to D.C. to join other liberals in an anti-war rally, rather than having joined the U.S. military in the first place? I just don’t see the upside to a woman marrying a liberal man. Perhaps I missed something here. Perhaps there are other more endearing qualities to a liberal man. Please list them if you can
