Should we expect ICE to raid Trump's Bedminster club?

Seems an undocumented immigrant has been fluffing Donny's pillows at Bedminster since 2013. She crossed the border illegally in 1999 and eventually made her way to NJ where she was hired in 2013 using phony papers to work for Trump. According to the same maid, there are several undocumented workers at the club.

Another investigation will need to be opened in order to determine how widespread the hiring of undocumented workers is. Ms. Morales was terrified of speaking out for fear of retribution, and indeed the Trump Foundation has confirmed that fear by announcing they would fire her, thereby resulting in her deportation if her asylum request isn't granted.

Just one person was brave enough to speak out at tremendous risk to her life and her livelihood. The odds that there are more are really high.

"Any person who within any 12-month period hires ten or more individuals with actual knowledge that they illegal aliens or unauthorized workers is guilty of felony harboring."

If an investigation uncovers at least ten more undocumented workers and it can be determined that employers were aware of their status, that could result in up to ten years in prison time.

Ms. Morales said the maintenance worker drove her to a house in Plainfield, N.J., where she waited in his car while he met with someone inside. Ms. Morales said that she had no record or recollection of the address.

The next day, she said, the maintenance worker brought her a new Social Security card and a realistic-looking green card to replace the one that had “expired.” She said the manager made copies of them for files kept at the club’s administrative headquarters.

That establishes unlawful intent. Ms. Morales' word alone won't be enough, but it's certainly enough to open an investigation to see if this was a widespread pattern. If ten or more undocumented workers can attest to this, then Federal Laws on harboring illegal aliens can be shown to have been broken.

"They did it too!" is a helluva defense for POTUS who we might expect to set an example by following laws his minions will be enforcing on those other allegedly bigger fish.

FWIW, I don't want ICE raiding businesses for employing people who have just done a hard job for low pay for a decade or more. Seems like we have bigger priorities than targeting women who work as maids but are undocumented.

But if the government is going to sic ICE on anyone, then they should start with the politically connected - Trump, the Nunes family dairy farm, etc. and make examples of the powerful as a way to demonstrate that they're not immune to laws they demand others follow, including illegals and their employers.

Yeah, I see an ICE raid being a hell of a lot more harmful to vulnerable workers who were always easy to exploit (thus their presence in the first place). If Trump's staff were knowingly hiring undocumented workers then that sounds like the much more significant scandal and needs to be looked into.
