Perhaps this is nuts, but we know that the coach has moved great players a year or two before they fall apart. Gronk is a great player for the half season you get out of him. If it is the last half and he helpd in the playoffs, great if not who cares.

Gronk is signed for the next several years at team friendly price. How about a move say to the Cowboys, for at least one of their offensive tackles along with two #1 picks after this year. Team will be building around one of the young QBs in 2 years. So why not have a few extra high picks and a foundation at tackle.

In 2-3 years it is possible Gronk will be out of football and on some reality TV show.

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

2 #1 picks and a top LT in his prime which is a much more valuable position than a TE. Not to mention the Cowboys already have a HOF TE.

The Pats would be lucky to get a #1 for Gronk with all his injury issues.

Witten is done. If no good for cowboys Pats could look at other teams. Might be a good match for Redskins or Giants. A Giant offense with Gronk would be unstoppable.

Yes absolutely the Giants or redskins should make a horrible deal that will ruin thier future for about a decade. :agree:

Giving up a couple of picks for what is the best TE in football. If he is able to hold up for a few years could make the difference of 1-2 superbowl games. How many will the Cowboys be in during that timespan? Probably zero.

A good TE doesn't turn a bad team into a superbowl team. Look at how the Graham trade has worked out for the Seahawks. Trading for players in the NFL is usually a bad thing, especially when that player is already established and it's not a positional overload.

Interesting. I thought people would think it was nuts for the Pats to trade Gronk. You have some interesting points showing the opposite.

Well the Pats would be nuts to trade Gronk for a fair value but if they got the right offer they should do it. The Pats system works well with many players and Bennett is vastly underrated.
