Contrary to popular belief, SCOTUS justices don't necessarily get to serve for life; there is a way they can easily be removed. Article III section 1 of the US Constitution says they hold their office during good behavior, meaning they can be impeached for lack of good behavior.

Leaking drafts of rulings could be one of the worst forms of behavior by a SCOTUS justice.

Whoever leaked it was almost certainly not a justice, but rather a clerk or just someone doing legal administrative work for them.

Should a POTUS be impeached for raping a collie in the Oval Office?

Why don't you wait until we find out who leaked this before starting super ignorant hypothetical polls.

Despite what some might believe this subject deserves a discussion. Good call!

We do know who leaked it and the outlet which published it is the only one which has allegedly been able to authenticate it.

You're referring to a specific leak & current event; this thread isn't about a specific leak, it's about any leak of SCOTUS ruling drafts by any justice (regardless of whatever political label may have been assigned to them).

Trust, once broken, is very difficult to restore. Among the SC circulating drafts of possible decisions is done on the foundation of trusting each other. If a SC Justice proves to be untrustworthy they should have no place on the bench. I can't imagine any of them violating the principle of trust, but we live in a different world today of putting political agenda over democracy.

They should be impeached for treason, lying under oath, trying to overthrow democracy, etc.

Oh, yes, -- and any of their law clerks who leak should be fired and jailed and blackballed from all legal jobs in the future.
