The ancient Greeks did it, and the ancient Greeks were definitely right.

A mentally retarded individual is a drag on society and on the economy.

Anyone who wants a pet should get a dog, cat, horse, pony, hamster, turtle, lizard, or fish.

People should not have pet humans who are mentally retarded.

I know a lot of non mentally retarded people who are a drag on society and the economy. Even if you could prove someone is, so what? Is that really a sound basis for deciding who lives or dies?

The ancient Greeks did a lot of things we don't do today. We actually have made much intellectual progress since then.

Well if you can prove it either prenatally or postnatally then we should do what the ancient Spartans did.

Really? You either don't know or are in denial. Many laws can trace themselves to biblical principles.

Actually most laws can be traced back just plain old common sense. In fact most law out date Christianity. Probably mostly Greek and Roman in pre-christian times.

Why should we do what the Spartans did? They were idiots compared to us.

No ... we are idiots compared to them.

When they made war they did not mess around.

When we make war we do it with at least one if not both arms tied behind our backs.

That's just one example of why the ancient Spartans were smarter than us.

The poll options are idiotic, so I went ahead and voted the first one.

I have no issue with babies born with serious life threatening health issues with little to no hope of survival being placed on comfort care with the agreement of the parents.

But then again, euthanasia and comfort care are not remotely the same.

Would comfort care be acceptable for mental defects? See the above statement,
