For those of you who don't know much about her, here's a little mini-biography:

- Born in Lansing Michigan on August 23rd, 1971. She's 48 years old.
- Earned her Bachelor's degree and JD from Michigan State University
- Member of the Michigan House of Representatives between 2001 and 2006.
- Member of the Michigan Senate between 2006 and 2015
- Senate Minority Leader between 2011 and 2015.
- Prosecutor for Ingham County between July of 2016 and December of 2016
- Elected Governor of Michigan in 2018. She won with 53%, beating out the Republican challenger Bill Schuette by about 9% of the vote.

Among liberal and progressive circles, she seems to be awfully popular. She's getting praised for her leadership during this pandemic and sparring with President Trump over the proper medical supplies necessary. According to Election Betting Odds website, she's now in 3rd place with about 13-14%. Back in mid-March she was in 8th to 9th place. The pick to me makes the most logical sense to me. She's young, which would be a counter balance to Biden, being the oldest nominee in U.S history. She has governor experience, which Biden does not. She's from the swing state of Michigan, and would be somebody who could help him out in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio. The negatives are that she's "white" and only been governor for about a year now.

What do you think about that? I especially want to hear from our liberal and progressive members here.

he needs to pick an unexpected outsider. It will be the only way to inject energy into the funeral procession that is his campaign.

Pick the idiot that after bitching about not getting enough federal support it was learned she wasnt even smart enough to APPLY for federal assistance?

Yeah...that will be a fun ride.

So Abrams or Whitmer? I agree with you on that point -- the need for energy. Biden is doing extremely well with older voters (over 44), but poorly among younger voters(Under 45). Somebody in their 40s and early 50s makes a lot of sense.

You are making a big assumption...that Biden will be the Dem nominee.

Trump will beat Biden no matter who is chosen.

The anti american RINO party will make mince meat of Biden.

Today on Democracy NOW a woman accused Biden of sexual assault and she is being denied assistance and a hearing because Biden is a presidential candidate.

How is it a big assumption? He needs at least 46% of the remaining delegates to win, and there's only two candidates left. Biden has by far the most support among politicians in the Democrat party.

You care to explain your opinion on Whitmer?

Which horse are you betting on?

I don't think the DNC will allow Biden to be the nominee. They will arrange the convention so someone else gets the nod. I predict Gov. Cuomo.

Don't know anything about Whitmer but no on Abrams. she is a lovely person but she is not ready to step into the Presidency. She would be another Jimmy Carter.

Who would be the outsider, you're referring about?

I don't have anybody in particular in mind. Tom Wolfe maybe would be someone to consider. I think he is term limited and would help carry Pennsylvania. He should look among governors though. Abrams doesn't have that caliber executive experience.

What difference does it make?

This deep into the primary season, how does your prediction play out?

Biden = Done

VP pick = Irrelevant

No amount of Democrat chicanery and/or wishful thinking can change that.

Prince Andrew = The likely candidate to be cheated in

Democrats = Criminal gang

Laugh now, but I still wouldnt be surprised if you know who....

just accidentally showed up...

Not to be too technical but wouldn't Biden have to chosen to be beaten by Trump. I mean, you can't choose Bernie then beat Joe.

What assistance is that lady being denied? I hadn't heard about that.
