This is only a part of the story as these American Citizens also are likely to be citizens of Israel.
They are still American citizens and should be allowed to voice their opinions and beliefs to the government through lobbying.
I agree.
I would be in favor of eliminating duel citizenship laws though.
We got enough problems dealing with other governments, we don't need to deal with them within our own government. I'm sick of foreign goverments creating lobby groups in the US to enact legislation that benefits their agenda to the detriment of US interests.
It is not in the interest of the US to stand by Israel and shield them from being held responsible for their atrocities and armed aggression. I don't want my tax dollars going to spending time on Capitol Hill to find ways that allow Israel to violate international law.
So I think their lobby group AIPAC, should be outlawed and prevented from lobbying any member of Congress.
Sentiments such as yours and others of your ilk or worse are exactly why AIPAC needs to exist.
"your ilk"?
has ilk ever been used in a manner not meant to be negative? It's just a shade above "that" in front of a person's name.
ilk: Noun
a type or class: three or four others of the same ilk [Old English ilca the same family]
USAGE: Although the use of ilk to mean a type or class is sometimes condemned as being the result of a misunderstanding of a Scottish expression of that ilk, it is nevertheless well established and generally acceptable.
that bhkad is really something else!

The least bit; an iota:
AIPAC is not a foreign organization. It is an American lobbying group supported entirely by American citizens who want their views heard. Apparently you didn't read the thread.
I will assume they don't get any money under the table from Israel and I still want them banned--as well as any other groups lobbying for a foreign Nation.
I'm half German, how did it look for German Americans who rallied and supported Germany during pre WW1 and preWW2? Did those Germans have support from non-german Americans? Nope. Not at all--just the opposite, we must stop giving Israel preferred treatment and forget this ridiculous "I can do it" because I have dual-citizenship. How does one acquire dual-citizenship anyway?
During the Vietnam draft era many American Jews went to Israel on a "religious exemption" clause, I'm presuming they had dual citizenship? It's so ironic isn't it, the talk of defending a Nation and going to another Nation to avoid service--gotta get more consistent guys--you want of talk of Hippies avoiding the draft? Get consistent guys.
Suppose there was no AIPAC and we threw Israel to the wolves surrounding her. Are you really ready to deal with the consequences?
Really?
I'll bet not.
I don’t think we would agree on the consequences. The term wolves seem to indicate that Israel is a helpless pig when in reality they have the best equipped military in the region.
Many people over estimate their capabilities because they (reportedly) have nukes.
Do you?
I will assume they don't get any money under the table from Israel and I still want them banned--as well as any other groups lobbying for a foreign Nation.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
-Some stupid ancient document
Commerce with all nations, alliance with none, should be our motto.
Peace and abstinence from European interferences are our objects, and so will continue while the present order of things in America remain uninterrupted.
Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none.
Some quotes also from a ancient guy:
I believe his name was Jefferson, first name escapes me...:2razz:
Furthermore, AIPAC is not an "entangling alliance."
The difference is that random words from George Jefferson are not the Supreme Law of the Land, whereas that stupid ancient document I mentioned is.
Furthermore, AIPAC is not an "entangling alliance." It is a group of Americans advocating a political position that they believe to be right. If you believe the government shouldn't support Israel, that's one thing. It's an entirely different matter to support the outlawing of a peaceful political group of Americans.
Which American Muslim Lobbying group would you say isn't a "entangling alliance?"
