It is a crying shame what human industrial activity has done.

Anti climate is sort of like Dysfunctional Donald having his head up his own ICE-hole.

Climate Change is real. (It's amazing we still have to argue this.)

Halting renewable energy projects is stupid. It's going to make the power bill even higher. Dysfunctional Donald does not address issues. He just tries to change the perception of them.

We have to reduce our carbon footprint. Period.

There is no Planet B.

This is it. We have to take care of our habitat.
 
Happens, nothing humans have done caused this. Just a cycle or sun spots or some such.

Besides, snow storms in Texas proves there ain't no climate change.

Just a hoax.

In the lower, middle of the map is the Bay of Fundy. I have been there in the spring when ice covered as far as the eye can see.

Years later I flew over around the same time of year....there was no ice at all.

It is estimated that the Polar Bear population has declined 60% in that time; starved to death because they could not hunt seals in the winter.

As a result of that, rats overran some settlements as rats were a source of winter food for polar bears too.

Texas also had some really bad floods.

The climate is changing and industrial activity is the culprit.

North of Vancouver there are many mountains that are public parks, with marked trails. For a hundred years people have 'policed' the trails, keeping them clean, marked and safe. Sometimes work crews are assembled to go in and replace a log bridge or cut back brush, clear the trail markers.

In recent years, crews haul trash bags for all the garbage left behind. Instead of it never being there it now accumulates and people have to go in and haul it out. Now, broken glass is an issue as people are even too ****ing irresponsible to carry disposable.

Man is the most irresponsible animal on the planet.

But you know what's worse? The sea bottom. I'm an ex scuba diver. You'll be happy to know that the most pristine places on the West Coast of North America are littered on the sea bottom with Japanese marked packaging..,....by the ton. Mostly fast food and candy wrappers.
 

There was very little litter decades ago. That all happened because billionaires decided they could get even wealthier by selling disposable crap. Bottles and jars used to have a small deposit which was returned when the container came back for reuse. Everything became disposable and all too predictably the world got trashed with litter.

What a bunch of assholes billionaires are. Trashing the world. Trashing the environment. Trashing our habitat. Trashing our future.

All for more money and they already had more than anybody else. What assholes.

How many people here on the forum still drive an internal combustion car? Still fly in planes? Have installed solar panels for home electricity?

Kudos to all those who are actually doing their civic duty!! Walking the walk!!

While I am against heating up the planet, I am in favor of less polar bears.
 


What really has changed is the attitude.

It takes less energy to carry out your trash than to take it in.

We used to carry net bags to pick up other people's litter, when full tie them to a branch and pick them up on the way out. Often hikers ahead of you would do it for you.

But they were hikers, outdoor people. Now its tourists in street clothes who get stranded and lost and we have to spend $$$$ and risk lives to go in & rescue their sorry ass. The problem is, deadly wilderness is a two minute stroll from a sub division.

People really need to learn that the wealthy are not on their side. Capitalists won’t care when you die from the climate change they cause so long as their profits keep increasing and if it gets to an apocalyptic point, they would rather invest in luxury bunkers.
 
Obviously we need to take better care of our planet. The idea that we should needs to be more wide spread. This "Don't give a shit" attitude is what brought us maga.

You know it's only a matter of time until some fool comes in here and claims climate change is not happening, or humans had nothing to do with it.

That whole argument comes from the fossil fuel industry. Greed kills.

We created an economic system that rewards people who are sociopaths and psychopaths.

There are probably people who still believe that the WTC towers were taken down by tactical nukes. They're CT kookburgers.
