Recently got a new laptop, wondering what other people's specs are.
Here is the exact laptop: MSI GT72S Dominator Pro G-219 G-Sync Gaming Laptop 6th Generation Intel Core i7 6820HK (2.70 GHz) 16 GB Memory 1 TB HDD 128 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M 8 GB GDDR5 17.3" IPS Windows 10 Home - Newegg.com
It has a 6820hk with a default clock of 2.7 ghz, and, like most Intel processors, the clock speed increases based on the load. It is a sky lake and has lots of overclocking potential, I have over 250 steam games and it plays all games I've tried with no sweat. The GPU is a 980m (8gb vram) runs everything I throw at it maxed.
It has 16 gb of ddr4, and a 1 tb hdd w/ a 256 gb ssd. It has a easy to remove back panel with room for more hard drives as well. It is very heavy though..

It's not how fast you mow, it's how well you mow fast.

Sorry couldn't help myself. ;)

Plus one of the few things I don't have is a laptop.

Heh, I had a desktop but I gave it to one of my good friends. Well, it does mow well for me.

Bought everything on Black Friday Sales and a friend of mine and I slapped it together

MSI Z170A GAMING M7 (MS-7976)

Intel Core i7-6700K

32 meg Corsair Gaming

EVGA 970 GTX FTW SuperClocked

Samsung 850 Pro 1T SSD

1000 platinum Corsair PSU

I bought a corsair case that looks like a big Olive Drab Ammo Can with handles

Sounds like it.

My little brother spends many a dollar on gaming PCs. I got burned out on video games back in the 70s.

I have an older system

Intel Quad core Q6600 @ 2.4GHz
Western Digital Velociraptor 300GB hard drive
2 Seagate 500GB mirrored drives
8 GB of memory.

Still runs plenty fast for what I do.

That exact PSU in #2 has this reputation for, well, ****ing starting on fire.

Replace it.

IBM XT with 8088 processor, 10 meg hard drive, 5 1/4 inch floppy disk drive, 32k of memory, CGA (16 color) monitor, and 14.4 baud modem. DOS 3.3 Operating system.

Cost me $3,000 new.

I have to wait for the wife to get off the phone, so I can get on the internet.

but...but...it is completely virus proof.

Maybe I should swap its case with #3 to help things out lol!

Thanks for the heads up. I had read about them having issues but I believe I have the model prior to the firestarter edition.

No it is the most virus vulnerable setup ever, it is just so old no one wants to upload viruses for them anymore.
