Iran must be an overwhelmingly powerful and important nation - Labour are too knock-kneed to want to get their own servicepersons back.
The sailors are held to ransom by the Iranians on condition of taking out every member of our armed forces from Iraq. Apart from the fact that the process has already started anyhow, Labour are only uttering poodle protests in reaction to this outrage, this war crime. And as we know how Left Wingers love to bleat on about war crimes, it's surprising they're faltering now.
LABOUR - Soft On Crime, Soft On The Causes Of Crime.
This is a far cry from the days when Mrs Thatcher dealt with the Iranian hostage situation of her own in 1981.
And let's not forget this is the 25th anniversary of the Falklands War. 25 years anniversary of rabid Labour MPs howling for Mrs. Thatcher's resignation for daring to keep her own people free in a time of national emergency, as they so wished. Labour would rather have continued the handover process of the Islands to the Argies, a spiteful group who only wanted them because we had 'em.
So some things never change. Wicked people threatening us and Left Wingers willing to back down and sacrifice their own nation or people for their beliefs! How noble! And I'm sure the people of Gibraltar would agree.

Incidentally, perhaps these 'Impeach Blair' berks can themselves answer the question of what would happen once every last Western troop has left Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm not stupid enough to believe the mad mullahs would say to their people 'OK lads, back to normal again. Time to get rid of our bombs and stop our deranged tirades of hate'.
