Even though there are differences between the sexes, and, statistically, one sex will be better than the other at something if viewed on average. It's irrelevant as far as individuals are concerned, since, even if we assume, for example, that men are stronger on average than women, a woman who has devoted herself to strength training will be stronger than a man who hasn't.

So, while I believe that genetics play a role in there being certain statistical differences between the sexes, all of the evidence I've seen shows that the biggest differences are between individual people, regardless of sex.
 
Men and women evolved, in the distant past, to perform different roles so it would b supprising if there was not a genetic difference between them.
 
Women tend to be more loving and caring, men tend to be ................
 
So men are faster than women, but any girl from a high school track team will go around that track again and again and again and every time she'll dodge around me as I walk around the first lap panting.

Not sure where you live, but where I live, when they let the boys and girls out to run around the schoolyard, neither can make one full circle without panting, and that is because both genders spend every moment they have on their cellphones, not roughhousing it or playing road hockey like I did as a kid - before cellphones.
 
Part of that is that we can't let the kids just go and run and play and come back when the streetlights come on, like we used to do when we were little.
 
Men are from Mars. Women from Venus. Yeah, a dopey way to suggest the differences but in acknowledging they exist a way to make the point.

We developed over millions of years for survival of the species to be complimentary, not identical, because that enhances survival.

That doesn’t mean we aren’t equal. We are decidedly equal. It does mean we aren’t precisely the same.

YES, individuals will be separate cases but in our aggregates we’ll show noticeable trends that differentiate us man from woman, woman from man. It’s MEANT to be that way because, together, those differences make us a whole greater than our individual parts.

Common sense would seem to dictate that since we, in our equal benefit from it, are better because of it we celebrate the differences rather than reject them.

Women and men, men and women, EQUAL with much similarity but different in significant ways and all the better for it.

Because somewhere along the lines it got determined that such was negligence and parents can get in trouble with the law. Ask me how I know. And there can be differences in areas. I could do it in rural southern GA in our neighborhood, but in CT the same thing got child services called on me. And it seems to have only gotten worse since that time 30 some odd years ago

This largely depends on where you live

Some neighborhoods and developments around where I live have quite a few kids out and about - but they are very walkable neighborhoods with very little street traffic (except the people living in them)

I’ve known people that have moved TO those neighborhoods for that reason - and people that have moved OUT of those neighborhoods because of it
 
It depends on where and it also depends on the age of the kids.
 
Well, what you are telling me seems improbable. You ARE talking about kids running around BEFORE sunset and I have never lived anywhere where that was a problem. Without presuming to read between the lines, I could ask what the kids you are talking about were doing when they were running around. THAT might make a difference. I doubt anywhere child services would get involved if the kids were just kids and not involved in trespassing or property damage.
Since I live in a 'socialist' country (that is what Righties keep telling me) you would think THIS country of all places would be the first place where child services would be called about kids running around. Never happens unless the kids do something they shouldn't be doing. Never happened to me, never to my kids, never to the kids of anyone I know.

Most certainly genetics and evolution has played a role here.
During the eons where humans were loose family groups of hunter-gatherers, women stayed at the camp / cave, cared for children, and gathered near by, while the men went out and used the technique of Persistence hunting bringing back meat.

Each activity required a different set of skills, skills which, when sharpened enhanced the loose family groups' survival, which natural selection then passed on to the next generations.

This also a quite reasonable and non-controversial conclusion.

In the old days we had a simple, beautiful word: Bitch. And yeah, some people would claim that only was a word that applied to women, but for the most part, people were wising up and realizing that men are bitches just as often.

So some influencer invented this absurdity. And a whole army of media people took long slow care to educate people that there was another word "Ken" you were supposed to use for a man, lest you get tempted to unisex the new insult like the old one. It's an alternative option never ever intended to be used, like a protest pen at a G8 rally.

And now, in their crowning accomplishment, you start to believe -- well, only women can be "Karens", right -- based on their definition.

It's like they've peed on you enough that you think yellow is the color of rain.
 
I'm not sure that's the case if you're talking about stamina maybe but physical brute strength no.

That's not strength that's endurance and that's a property of conditioning now have you trained like she did you would pass her.

My gut says it'd be damn good competition in many cases. I think Female Pros vs. Average Joes would be a cool TV series, but the women would probably crush them in any endurance test lol.

Turns out there's a thing. I can't find the original piece of entertainment, but this is average Joe's versus pretty athletic women.

I only posted this show that there is a such thing and there's other people that are interested in this not really to make any reference to the commentary.

The Rugby Women' s World Cup started yesterday. England. the favourates to to win the cup beat the USA 69 to 7.

A teams of men would be faster and stronger but so what? The match was played in Sunderland in front of 47,000 spectators btw.
