Then you're not paying attention extreme and severe weather are the new buzzwords for global warming

No, they're not.
It's still global warming, which causes changes in local climates, hence climate change. One of the predicted results of global warming is more extreme weather.
Thank you for making my point. It is no longer call it global warming because iit is not warming so they changed it to extreme weather.

In your parallel universe, I suppose that telling you you're wrong and that it is still called global warming and hasn't been "changed to extreme weather" is making your point for you.
Here, however, in what we refer to as the real world, I actually did the exact opposite.
Here, the sky is blue, and sometimes grey. Currently, it is black with little points of light here and there. What's it like where you are?
Dude you are so yesterday. They changed it from global warming to climate change because too many global warming events got snowed out. So now extreme or severe weather are the buzzwords of the day because it doesn't matter whether it's cold or whether it's hot or whether it's dry or whether it's wet it is climate change ,scary, scary scary stuff.

My goal here is not to change the minds of true believers like you, it is o maybe wake a few people up on how the liberal media try's to get you to think a certain way on this and many other subjects. Maybe tonight when they watch the news and see the extreme weather report a light bulb will go off.
I dunno... generally speaking, when they say it's going to rain tomorrow or the next day, it rains. Sometimes, they miss, but not often. I think if they said there was a hurricane bearing down on me, I'd head for the hills.
Wouldn't you?
Weather isn't climate. I work outside 6 to 8 hours a day. Give a a suit, a clean shave and access to the same info the weather people have and I'm them.
So, is it still blue there, or is it a nice pastel shade of orange? Just who is this "they" who changed the terminology? According to this "they", then reports of flooding in Arizona and Southern California are really global warming, and not the result of a hurricane? The news here still says it's the result of a hurricane, and even shows satellite pictures of it.
Are you saying that global warming isn't happening?
"They" would be those trying to convince you that man is having an impact on weather. "They" would be those saying hurricanes and flooding are "extreme" weather caused by global warming which is no longer warming but climate change. The warming thing is falling flat as ice increases at both polls.
Are you saying that global warming isn't happening?
Really? Are they out to get us, then? I guess I'm not listening to "them", as I've yet to hear of the phrase "extreme weather" being substituted for "global warming." Now, I would say that hurricanes and flooding are extreme weather events, but weather is what they are. The ice increasing where you vote, as well as in Antarctica, is a weather phenomenon as well.
That's right, weather ISN'T climate. So "it snowed today" is not a sufficient debunking of global warming.
Glad we could have this talk.
Maybe the fact that the earth has not actually warmed in 17 years is sufficient though? I know the AGW so called scientist are calling it a pause but those of us who don't make our living by trying to prove the AGW hypotheses is true need to take pause ourselves.
Don't bother arguing with these people over the claimed difference between weather and climate. The fact that an accumulation of weather data is the basis for climate science as it exists right now is lost on these zealots because they can't address it without damaging their cause.
You are aware of the fact that the earth has not warmed in nearly two decades aren't you? Maybe why that is why they stopped calling it global warming. Maybe because the polls are both gaining ice is why they stopped calling it global warming and switched to climate change and maybe that is why the liberal media is now using the new buzz words for the AGW movement. Severe and extreme weather are the new focused grouped words of the day and the big three use them as often as possible.

I believe you mean 'fact'.
Because only wingnuts actually believe its true. Scientists who study this have been pretty clear on this point.

It is like talking to a brick wall. I guess I think if I hit hard enough and often enough with the sledge hammer of facts, truth and logic the wall may come crashing down. Dream on huh.
