Senator Kennedy Has Malignant Brain Tumor

Tests performed over the weekend at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston indicated that Mr. Kennedy, 76, has a type of cancer known as a malignant glioma in the left parietal lobe, the upper left portion of his brain. Mr. Kennedy, Democrat of Massachusetts, suffered a seizure on Saturday in Cape Cod and was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
The doctors said on Tuesday that the senator was “in overall good condition,” had been walking around the hospital, and had suffered no more seizures since Saturday.
“The usual course of treatment includes combinations of various forms of radiation and chemotherapy,” Dr. Lee Schwamm, the vice chairman of neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Dr. Larry Ronan, a primary care physician at the hospital, said in a statement issued Tuesday afternoon.
The National Cancer Institute says that malignant glioma is the most common form of brain cancer, accounting for about 9,000 cases diagnosed each year in the United States. The prognosis depends on the severity of the tumor, although the institute’s website says it is generally poor.
Sad, my dad died from prostate cancer in 2006 at the same age.
No wonder why Teddy's thinking was so messed up.
Who will replace him in the Senate? As long as it's not a Karl Marx disciple, we'll have an upgrade.

My mother died from a brain tumor, it is a horrible thing to see someone go through. I wish the Kennedy Family the best during this difficult time.

:rofl you called bhkad aqua.
Yes, I can't think of a worse thing to go through as a person. It's not easy to watch as a family member either. My mother couldn't speak or use the right side of her body. I felt so helpless.

Wow MC, just simply wow. You didn't even let it get even halfway down page one before jumping right into partisan BS. The man, the person, the human, has a potentially life threatening disease that is surely to cause pain and suffering to not only himself but many of those of his close family and friends. The fact that you can't even see that and just have to launch into insults about him and then figuring who'll replace him in such a way as you did is frankly can not be properly reacted to upstairs.
-edited cause I'm a doof-
My heart goes out to the woman he murdered who never received justice because he was a Kennedy.
This is sweet justice and it took far to long. I hope it's inoperable.
Ive read that this type of Tumor is hard to beat.
LOL Kennedy collaborated with the Soviets against Reagan, the man was a Soviet provocateur and a traitor, good riddance to bad rubbish.
Well it's a proven fact that he's guilty of treason and treason IS a capital offense, perhaps you would prefer a firing squad?
As much as I don't like the man, the phrase "proven fact" is one of the most overused in the history of the world.
Once again, this is NOT a political issue - it is a human one. If he were convicted of treason, I would agree with you, but absent such a conviction, you don't have any base to stand on.
*can't believe he is sticking up for Kennedy - slaps himself*
In his book, which came out this week, Kengor focuses on a KGB letter written at the height of the Cold War that shows that Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) offered to assist Soviet leaders in formulating a public relations strategy to counter President Reagan's foreign policy and to complicate his re-election efforts.
The letter, dated May 14, 1983, was sent from the head of the KGB to Yuri Andropov, who was then General Secretary of the Soviet Union's Communist Party.
In his letter, KGB head Viktor Chebrikov offered Andropov his interpretation of Kennedy's offer. Former U.S. Sen. John Tunney (D-Calif.) had traveled to Moscow on behalf of Kennedy to seek out a partnership with Andropov and other Soviet officials, Kengor claims in his book.
At one point after President Reagan left office, Tunney acknowledged that he had played the role of intermediary, not only for Kennedy but for other U.S. senators, Kengor said. Moreover, Tunney told the London Times that he had made 15 separate trips to Moscow.
