Dino Rossi is now a 3-time loser, he lost twice running for govenor of Washington and this time for the U.S. Senate.

By Jim Brunner

Seattle Times political reporter

Sen. Patty Murray has won a fourth term, riding a wave of strong Democratic support in King County to defeat Republican challenger Dino Rossi.

As of Thursday evening, Murray was leading Rossi by more than 45,000 votes, taking 51 percent to Rossi's 49 percent. That's up from a 14,000-vote lead on Election Day.

I believe most honest people understand he won one of those elections

Patty Murray is one of the biggest morons in the senate BTW

This is to bad.........The only way Rossi could have ever won was to have a huge lead entering Seattle, King County because it is a huge democrat county run by democrats and when Rossi was running for Governor they kept counting the votes over and over again until the dmocrat got ahead.......They counted people who were dead and they pulled ballots out of the trash can and counted them..........Sadly Rossi had not fair chance to win............

I believe at one time she was voted the dumbest member of the senate........

You call it sour grapes I have another name for it.......I live here....I saw it happen......

that is a tough prize to win but yes, friends of mine who are/were DC insiders said she has the IQ of a turnip

that governor's race a few years ago was no different than Illinois in 1960

If SCOTUS didn't overturn the Florida Supreme Court decision which was to hand recount the entire state in 2000, Al Gore would have been president.

Nope... independent recounts were conducted and showed that Bush would have won anyway, and by a wider margin.

wrong-and that was a bogus decision because the FSC (AKA SCOFLAW) ignored the findings of fact of dem run trial courts which is complete BS

btw since you want to speculate if the Media had not called the state of florida for Gorebot an hour before the polls closed in the western part (and heavily pro-BUSH) Bush would have gained thousands more votes

But here is the one that really sucks if you are a GoreBot

IF GORE HAD WON HIS HOME STATE THE WHINING ABOUT FLORIDA WOULD NOT HAVE MATTERED

The independent recounts showed that if only counting the districts that Gore wanted recounted, Bush won. However, if the entire state was recounted as the Florida Supreme Court ruled Gore would have won.

If the Liberal media hadn't made the false claim that the poles close, three hours earlier than they actually did and 50,000 likely Republican voters didn't bother to vote, it would have never been close enough to warrant a recount.

Poor Libs, they'll never get over losing in 2000. That was over ten years ago, you lost.......get over it.

dems were hung up on this nonsense because they could claim that Since Bush really didn't win (in their leftwing fantasies) he wasn't legitimate. The SCOFLAW was out of line overruling findings of fact and if you dems want to complain about the supremes you are hypocrites. ALl 7 lower courts in florida found in favor for Bush. the SCOFLAW was a joke

that is beyond any dispute. the MSM cost Bush thousands of votes in both florida and in every state that had polls closing after Florida's eastern time zone

speculation and it fails to account for the vote suppression Al Gore's media lapdogs engaged in

Lets get this straight

Bush won, GOre lost-end of story

and Bush was ahead before any court was involved

Bush was ahead after the count, and after the recount

at no point was Gore ever ahead

and Gore lost his own state-that alone is rather damning

However, if the entire state was recounted as the Florida Supreme Court ruled Gore would have won.
Not true... it is likely Bush would have won in either case.

If SCOTUS didn't overturn the Florida Supreme Court decision which was to hand recount the entire state in 2000, Al Gore would have been president.

Actually, that is not true. Gore cherry picked the counties to be recounted, and that is one of the main reasons that SCOTUS got involved.

true, if the SCOFLAW had granted Gorebot the relief he sought, Bush still would have beat him

the Dems screwed themselves by trying to extend the contest period and shorten the protest period and perhaps taking florida outside the safe harbor provisions for the electoral college

Why did Al Gore insist that the military vote not be counted? Do the Leftists hate our servicemen so much, that their votes shouldn't count?

the obvious answer is YES

From your own link...

"In all likelihood, George W. Bush still would have won Florida and the presidency last year if either of two limited recounts -- one requested by Al Gore, the other ordered by the Florida Supreme Court -- had been completed"

If you're looking at the National Opinion Research Center finding - it makes very hefty assuptions that someone would have convinced the FSC to change their recount criteria to include overvotes (something neither party requested), that such a request would have been granted, that standards such as "dimple or visible mark" would be allowed as valid under Florida law, etc. etc.

In the very unlikely event that all of that occurred, the count still would have been different - NORC didn't actually recount everything, they looked at the less than 3% considered undervotes and overvotes - a sample of 175,037 they admit is only approximate and certainly could have varied at the time. So too would have the count, when performed by hundreds of poll workers over a number of days rather than a handful of accountants over a few months. Even still, in NORC's most likely scenario for Gore, he wins with just 60 votes... that's 0.03% of the number of ballots they examined and WELL within the margin of error for a manual recount.

That should put the Bush Derangement Syndrome sufferers to bed

good job
