Libertarian - Right
For those who may not be familar with me, I'm a relatively moderate and pragmatic libertarian. All I've heard from Romney backers both here, in person, and even from the punditry recently is how electable Romney is. As if the only point of the election is to make sure the President has a R and not a D next to his name.

Like a lot of folks, I'm sick of voting for the lesser of two evils. I want someone who actually deserves my vote and at least somewhat reflects my views and values. I'm not looking for a perfect candidate, but I'm no longer willing to back someone for being marginally less objectionable than the other guy.

So tell me what makes Romney such a good candidate? What programs and measures is he going to introduce to get this country back on track? What can I expect from a Romney Presidency that would make me want to see him inthe Oval office?

Romney won't do anything that Obama won't do too.

Which Romney would you like us to sell you sir? We've got all different kinds.

I'm pretty sure Romney will pay you.

He's the white Obama from Mass. Sold yet?

I mean seriously. Can anyone say there is a functional difference between Romney and Obama? They might have slightly different policies, but it is like changing the headlight on a Pinto. The engine will still quit, but at least you can see the road ahead.

why are you dicking around with romney. the libertarian right has a pretty obvious candidate that they're rallying around right now. if you're actually a libertarian (not one of those bill maher "libertarians"), then he's probably way more up your alley than romney. i mean, ****, he's probably the only candidate who would actually DO most of the stuff he says he would do. AND he's not completely shunned and silenced by the mainstream. He should be your wet dream candidate...

Romney's main strength as the GOP candidate is that he will embarrass the GOP less while losing than the other candidates would. While all of them will most likely lose, most of the others would lose so badly that they would drag down Republican candidates in Senate and House races with them. He's the best bet for taking the fall gracefully. Same reason they picked Bob Dole in 96.

Experience
  • Got a JD and MBA from Harvard Business/Law School
  • Served as CEO at Bain & Co. and brought the company back from the brink to be one of the most successful consulting businesses in the world.

  • Gained executive political experience by becoming a Republican governor in one of the most liberal states in the union and worked with a legislature that was 85% Democrat.
  • While governor, by working with an opposition legislature, his administration turned a $3 billion deficit into at $700 million surplus by fixing tax loopholes and cutting spending.
  • Utilized his executive business and political experience to turnaround the Winter Olympics from the brink of failure to a stunning success.

The author of "RomneyCare" is going to repeal ObamaCare?

Put "romney liberal" in any search engine and you will see that Mitt is actually a liberal.
