Selective Service Act for women?

Should women be forced to register for Selective Service, the same as Men? A man can not get a student loan or a federal job without registering for a possible future draft. It is also a felony to not register and felons in most stats are not allowed to vote. if men and women are to be treated equal... how is this possible?
