What do you see for the future of the American economy? If the Democratic Party has successfully captured total control of the federal government, the fate of the Democratic Party rests with the answer to that question.
Yesterday I drove to our mall to see if it was still open. Only 3 stores still in business. Driving down the mail highway, entire shopping strips also previous full are now empty and becoming derelict structures (humidity and mold destroy empty buildings here fast to the point of having to be torn down for the mold and rot.) All but 2 banks have closed too and half a dozen cafes never reopened too.
In my car, I usually listen to political radio. FOX for Republican radio. PBS for Democratic radio (that's what it is). On PBS, the host and the speaker were in agreement with the speaker said this: "why would anyone risk covid-19 going to a mall, when they can buy everything for less on Amazon?" The host agreed. The online retailer Jeff Bezos, the richest plutocrat on earth and owner of WaPo as his political advertising outlet, like the other Big Tech companies are wasting no time pursuing seizing every private sector dollar.
Notice it was not just "if you go to stores you will die do shop online.' Rather, it was specific. Shop nowhere by Amazon. ALL retail dollars and employment should singularly be with the richest plutocrat to ever exist in the history of earth. Now, a majority of products on Amazon are sold by Amazon, and other merchants quit or our pushed out. Due to Amazon and the rest of Big Tech opting for offshoring over domestic operations, and foreign employees over Americans - and certainly not hiring black and Latino employees - means that 10s of millions of jobs for Americans are gone - and gone forever.
I won't go on and on about Amazon, though will comment all of the MSM, press and Big Tech proactively destroyed Elizabeth Warren's campaign when she said she would break up Amazon for the monopoly it is. Otherwise, because there are a couple of unique products we manufacture - meaning no one else can sell it - we are very familiar with selling on Amazon, its massive control of online sales, and why we stopped because there is no profit to be made by sellers on Amazon - or maybe 1/10th the profit if sold otherwise as Amazon consumes virtually all the profit, while directly competing with other sellers too (something Amazon could not do with our 2 unique products.)
It is not a matter of shortly after taking office Biden and the always singular voice of the plutocracy declares all-clear for businesses to reopen. They can't, they won't, and won't survive if they do. Like PBS said, everyone should only shop online and only online from Amazon. All of Big Tech wants people only shopping online - and all of Big Tech say people should only shop online because their income is from online advertising of online stores - but increasingly those ads are Amazon ads too. Shopping on Amazon, ebay etc is shopping at China. Thus goes local sales tax income too as the government loses payroll, SS and unemployment tax money.
