Daniel James "Dan" White, the San Francisco supervisor who assassinated San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk, on November 27, 1978, at City Hall. White's lawyer, claimed his client wasn't responsible for his actions because he ate too much sugar, particularly Twinkies, the jury bought it, and White only got five years. Newspapers coined it as the "Twinkie Defense."

Extremely old, old 'news'. Mr White has been dead for many years, if I'm not mistaken.
 
Wow, never heard of that before.

I heard of a bunch of girls who were burned alive because some other people twitched around and claimed that they made them do it because they were all witches.
