Here, researcher Tony Heller shows the actual Covid19 data and charts to disprove MANY of the left's politically motivated narratives about Covid19. It's title references South Dakota, because they've been far more successful without perpetual lockdowns and economy-destroying shutdowns, and that's made disingenuous, authorization leftists like Rachel Maddow REALLY unhappy!

As always, the "news" media uses a strategy of selective ommission of important details and information, because it would contradict their politically motivated narratives.

Listening to the media, you'd think that it's been the states run by democrats like Cuomo, which have been most successful in dealing with the pandemic, and that the tyrannical mask mandates have made their states safer. But the scientific studies/stats show just the OPPOSITE, which is why the media omit them.

When accurately measuring Covid effects on the population per 100,000 or 1 million people, it's crystal clear that states like Ca, NY and other democrat strongholds are actually doing far, FAR worse than republican states with NO mask mandates and little to no economy-destroying shutdowns!

That’s because those red states don’t have economies.

NY has been the poster child for the country. If only we had a leader who told us the truth every day like Cuomo did.

Really, you think so?

Well according to this website (as of time of posting here) New York had almost 450,000 cases. It is not the State with the largest number of cases...it is beat out by California, Texas, and Florida. U.S. County Coronavirus (COVID-19) Interactive Map and Tracker

However, it IS the State with the greatest number of deaths; 33,399. The next largest death number? Texas, with 693,272 cases but only 14,475 deaths. More cases but FEWER deaths. California is a close third, with 767,044 cases and only 14,461 deaths. Then Florida with 664,688 cases and only 12,645 deaths.

Like the video states, it was Cuomo's orders to house covid-19 patients in nursing homes leading to almost as many DEATHS as the next three largest states combined.

So in your view NY is the "Poster child?" Of what; what NOT to do?

What time frame for the deaths in each state, please? And case load?

Its irrelevant, placing active covid cases in a facility filled with people with conditions that make them susceptible to dying from covid never should have been a solution.

SMH...comparing a state with a widely dispersed population of 884,659 versus New York which is densely populated with 19,400,000 people.

Think before you post.

What about placing active covid cases in bars and restaurants *after* watching the east coast go through it in Early winter anyway?

Every death that took place after NY is worse because those govs knew better.

No one ordered that. Those were choices by citizens, not governors. Again irrelevant because the deaths per thousand were by far highest in NY---because of the nursing home/rehab center deaths.

I notice you want to spin away from facts, its rather hard, isn't it?

Citizens do not make health care decisions for their communities during a pandemic. It’s why we have elected leadership.

Ok and? You brought it up, maybe you could source what you are referring to? We all know Cuomo put active covid cases in nursing homes.

Yes, you mentioned. And then you suddenly lost all interest in state leadership’s responsibilities when GOP govs were reopening too soon despite knowing better.

I guess the data shows that some rather extreme social distancing works, but not much else. The situations are far too different to effectively make comparisons.

Follow up: if Cuomo is responsible for those deaths, then Trump has to own the rest. He implored people to come to his rallies, and open up their states. Send kids back to school. Don’t wear masks.

How in the world can logic allow Cuomo to take the hit but Trump skates. It can’t so don’t bother.

Thank you for supporting states' rights.

Trump doesn't really own any of them. He doesn't manage the policies of the states. I understand basic concepts in U.S. government is difficult to grasp for some people.

Trump owns his own mouth, which he used to say CCP propaganda to the American people while ****ting his pants to Woodward.

What other Trump fan-fic are you up for writing that has nothing to do with the topic?

I don’t think that’s how audio tape recordings work but maybe you know stuff I don’t.

So, no source. Just the same, narrative before facts.

Because Cuomo's actions were proven with math to have caused extra deaths. It can, so I bothered.

Few basic things:

1 One, scientific theories to explain observations do not "prove"

2 Statistics also do not "prove"

3 Because many factors affect the outcomes that are studied by scientists, pointing at specific cases and ignoring the big picture does not establish a strong claim. One can use statistics about the effects of smoking and point at the relatively few (compared to the big picture) cases of non-smokers who died from lung cancer earlier than smokers to argue that smoking is not harmful.

4 There have been numerous studies collecting data which show the big picture and the very strong correlation of living population density to both the magnitude of a pandemic's spread and the magnitude of death rates

Large, densely populated cities are going to need a more cautious plan. This is not just because more crowded areas increase the risk of spread, but also because we’re learning that crowding itself may also affect the death rate. The relationship between the amount of virus to which one is initially exposed and the severity of the illness is found in most infectious diseases. Models assessing outcomes from the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic reveal that the likelihood of death was dependent upon the number of infected individuals with whom that person came into contact. When a family is infected by chickenpox, the second child to contract the virus often becomes more seriously ill, presumably because they have been exposed to more of the virus.

So can Trump’s.

You should have listened to me.

No one should ever listen to you. Besides any of that, what Cuomo did should be recognizable as a mistake regardless of any mistakes Trump may have made. That's how real people look at things.

At the top of your first source: Important: e-prints posted on arXiv are not peer-reviewed by arXiv; they should not be relied upon without context to guide clinical practice or health-related behavior and should not be reported in news media as established information without consulting multiple experts in the field.

Do you ever get tired of posting sources you don't read thoroughly?

I’m unclear on why that premise goes just the one way. Cuomo isn’t up for president. So not sure what I’m supposed to do about him. But we can both vote against Donald Trump. :)
