Midway through Elizabeth Warren's fire-breathing campaign to tank a bank deregulation bill backed by more than a dozen Senate Democrats, Chuck Schumer invited her to his office.

Warren had just sent a fundraising email blasting fellow Democrats who supported the legislation, and Senate Democrats had just had an ugly caucus meeting at which the rift over the measure was laid bare. And now Schumer wanted to hear what was on the mind of one of his most prominent senators, according to a person familiar with the conversation.

politico: house D's kill "right to try"

House Republicans failed Tuesday evening to pass a "right-to-try" bill that would give terminally ill patients access to experimental drugs without FDA authorization after failing to muster enough votes to approve it through an expedited process.

The 259-140 vote fell short of the necessary two-thirds support from the House chamber.

not really, they didn't kill it

they just used procedurals to stop it for today

R's will go thru committee

the senate passed right-to-try last summer---unanimously

ryan suspended house rules, his voice vote was vetoed

D's demanded a vote

and now 108 of pelosi's posse are on record

terminally ill americans will be denied access to experimental drugs

D's argue the bill "raises false hope"

big pharma, naturally, agrees with pelosi

“On the process side we are not for this and on the substance side we also think there are substantial issues that have been raised by companies, by a number of health care groups who believe this will pose real risks to people,” Democratic Minority Whip Steny Hoyer said.

Dems are angry over Hillary Clinton?s latest comments | TheHill

Democrats are angry that Hillary Clinton continues to discuss what went wrong during the 2016 presidential election against President Trump.

Even some of Clinton’s own former aides and surrogates say the former Democratic presidential nominee should back away from the discussion about her failed campaign because it’s harmful to the party.

During a conference in India this weekend, Clinton called states that supported her in the election more economically advanced than the states that backed Trump.

The remarks reminded many of the former secretary of State’s comments in 2016 that some of Trump’s supporters fit in a “basket of deplorables,” a line the Republican then used against her repeatedly during the final stretch of the campaign.

She also insinuated that women who voted for Trump were motivated by “ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”

In interviews with The Hill on Tuesday, even the staunchest Clinton allies as well as longtime advisers say the comments were cringeworthy and ultimately detrimental to Democrats.

"cringeworthy"

ouch

that's not partisan, it's accurate

even her voters cringe

her own staff

her husband

yes, D's all around are angry

with D's

can you blame them?

The D's are clearly not serious about much needed reforms till both Pelosi and Chucky have been tossed out.

Also someone needs to get to CLINTON CORP and tell them that they had better sit down and shut up "OR ELSE!".

As offensive as Hillary is, her rhetoric is good for Republicans.
