Yep, and to steal their creativty, intuition, autonomy, and make poor stupid liitle slaves so they can be a stupid cog in the machine.

And schools don't educate nobody! Including universities wich are the apex of stupidity,
(because a lot of non-sense is put in the head of the poor children.)

Those systems are here to INDOCTRINATE people, so they remain stupidf and ingorant,

Even Valedictorians have found this out.

Finally the world is waking up to the non-sense of public schooling!!!

And why would you send your child to some strangers for years??!!

I always thought that children weren't allowed to speak to strangers! Oh that is right, they don't!

The poor children have to listen! To those teachers who just repeat the party-line with not one cent of thought.

Yeah, yeah, I know, it is contrary to the belief systems of mist people here.

So what?

I'm not really sure what you're getting at with that rant, so let me suggest this.

Clearly it worked, seeing how you turned out.

You have not even a clue, but can you post without Ad Hominems?

But ok, I will give you a change. Where am I wrong about schooling

show me, mate.

You have not even a clue, but can you post without Ad Hominems?

Why should I?

First off, it's entertaining to listen you screech "Ad Hominem" over and over and over again instead of, you know, coming up with a comeback like an intelligent person would.

Secondly, you've provided no reputable sources.

Time to break out my inner grammar nazi...

Schools and teachers aren't there to 'indoctrinate' children. My algebra teacher didn't indoctrinate me; she taught me algebra.

Its funny now that I think about it. The only teacher I can remember trying to indoctrinate anyone was my Spanish teacher in 10th grade. Loved Reagan and always made a point of telling us. Fortunately I was able to drop it my junior year and still get my regents diploma.

That wasn't the case with my teachers. Half of them didn't really even care all that much.

We used to go some days without doing any work at all. And I used to **** around a lot in my Computer Science class.

Indoctrination occurs in college. I refer to it as "soft indoctrination". If you want the grades in non STEM classes, you'd better learn to follow the liberal party line.

High school or college? You reminded me of another story. I took AP history in high school up until 11th grade. My first day in this guys class he starts talking about how Jews get to take all these Holidays along with the Christian ones. I am Jewish but never very religious. However in New York there are a fair amount of us. Anyway I was pretty naive and it kind of shook me up. This lover went on and on about how Jews get this and that, truly mind boggling. I went to my guidance counselor and told him about it and ended up being transferred to a regular history class. As it turned out one of the books Mr. Hanes gave us to read in history class was The Foundation by Isaac Asimov because it was basically a parallel to the Roman Empire. I think I finished the book in a day and had never really read any good science fiction before, I was hooked. As you can tell he is my favorite author. Never found out what happened to that azzhole. Worked out for the best I guess.

Me too, but we are no longer living in the 1970s. One of the things that caused me to move to Texas was to escape Common Core in general and "Rainforest Algebra" in particular being taught to my sons when we were back in New England. The term is now mostly used by Math nerds, but the below link gives a good explanation of the term:

Reviewing two mathematics textbooks issued by Addison-Wesley

High school. I'm a recent graduate. ^-^

Wow, that's ****ing crazy. But speaking of crazy teacher stories, I remember I had a subsitute teacher for my Biology class when I was in the 9th Grade, who got fired for watching ****ing porn on his computer during my class.

Sarcastic Sid says: "Any moron can tell you that porn is Biology; did you think porn was the study of rock formations?"

I had a teacher who got busted for trying to hook up with his daughters friends, who were only in the 8th grade.

Do you have a specific school where this is the case? I can't remember any of my teachers in college towing any party line. I was an accounting major but took my share of electives. My Business Law professors taught business law, you know contracts and what not. My economics teachers taught macro and micro economics. Even used a text book. Granted Mr. Trantor put me to sleep in macro but he was a very nice guy. I don't remember any indoctrination though. That was community college but pretty much the same at Pace University. How cool is it to have PU as my Alma Mater. I had Dr. Schwersenz for auditing. I certainly don't remember any indoctrination there just a lot of boring lectures. Various English teachers assigned quite a bit of reading and writing. I had a very tough business management class where we did in depth research on 2 companies in the same industry where one excelled and the other did not. Somehow I got publishing and had to compare McGraw Hill and Harcort Brace Jovavovich. Nothing in the way of any political leanings though. Maybe you can give us a specific example or a personal experience?

Jesus where did you go to school? That is unbelievable.

Jesus where did you go to school?

Travis High School down in Richmond, Texas.

That is unbelievable.

Yeah it is, but stuff like that usually never happened. It was a very rare occasion. If there was anything that happened on a regular basis it was the school fights.

My sophomore geometry class drove our teacher to quit teaching and get a job as a software designer.

How the **** did that happen?

Kids threw stuff at him when his back was turned.

And relentlessly made fun of him to his face.

And asked the weirdest ****ing questions.

I felt bad about it later but at the time it was hilarious.

Oh Jesus. It's kinda like my ComSci teacher. Nobody in the class would listen to him, and he could barely control the class. Sometimes when he was lecturing, nobody would listen to him, so when he asked us a question, he just answered it himself. :(

People would cheat all the time on his tests and he never ****ing noticed either.

He had this really nasally voice so that didn't help either.

Half the time I just put in my headphones and listened to music off my phone.

Note to self: if your going to listen to music in class, don't sing along. :3oops:

I cheated all the time in my ComSci class too because my teacher was also oblivious as ****. But then he started noticing and began to crack down on all of us. Bummer.

Me too. Although I watched YouTube constantly on the computer, as I found a internet proxy to bypass the wi-fi restrictions.

Noted. :lamo
