Sarah Sanders Caught Lying To Chris Wallace on Fox

Where are the reports?

The border patrol says it has worked where barriers exist, but what is "it"? At designated control points? In the vast middle of absolutely nowhere in the desert?

Where did it work?

When did it work?

What exactly "worked"? "Worked" tells us mostly nothing. "We stopped a guy with a switchblade coming through a fence near Los Algondones. He looked really mean" is anecdotal and for the most part useless. THAT is the kind of justification we get concerning how a barrier "worked".

What did the barriers accomplish?

What are the qualified results? I haven't seen them.

How do the existing answers to these questions justify Trump's Wall? Trump has not provided any of that information.

The head of the union representing U.S. Border Patrol agents said Wednesday that a wall along the southern border was only necessary in "strategic locations."

During a Senate hearing on staffing needs for Border Patrol, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), National Border Patrol Council president Brandon Judd said, "We don't need a great wall of the United States. We do not need 2,000 miles of border wall. I will tell you, however, that a wall in strategic locations is absolutely necessary."

Judd said the current fencing "can be defeated," explaining to the senators that he has spent time finding holes in the fence.

"If we do a wall and we do it properly on the border, we can in fact effectuate a better arrest rate and we can in fact secure the border,” he said. "Before we do that we have to address the current issues that we have."

President Trump made immigration enforcement and securing the southwest border a priority in his campaign and has followed up with executive action since he took office, directing CBP to hire 5,000 additional agents and ICE to hire 10,000 additional agents.

This will be a major undertaking for the agencies.

Maybe you should watch the clip from Chris Wallace's show

Oh noes, bubba was right, Sarah did not say "there have been 4000 terrorists stopped at the Southern border" She did say, 4000 terrorist have entered the country -- of course she didn't get to tell Chris just how the government knows about these 4000 terrorists who are already in America.

I watched the show at the time it aired.
But what exactly does " ... how the government knows about these 4000 terrorists who are already in America." mean and who said it?

It just occurred to me that Sarah Sanders was supposed to be leaving the White House at the end of 2018, right? What happened?

Who would hire such a person, someone who lies so regularly and so easily?

And what you've posted proves my case, thank you. As I have previously stated and will do so once more, the 4,000 or whatever figure Sarah Sanders and Kristjen Nielson happen to be playing with that day, are people that come from countries where there have been suspected terrorists in the past. To be clear, not one of these terrorists or suspected terrorists has been apprehended at the southern border and were immigrants from Central America or Mexico, not a single one.

The reply to that would be in #23, my other answer to your question.
That makes 2 in a row that could ave been resolved easily if your read what you asked for.
Don't you ever read the answers to what you asked?
Why are you doing this to yourself?

SHS: “We know that, roughly, nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists come into our country illegally, and we know that our most vulnerable point of entry is at our southern border.”

Apparently Sarah is trying to challenge Trump in the "moron" category.

This is the border between Canada and the USA near where I live (go to the 3:42 mark):

Build the Northern wall! (Our PM promised us one, and he said the USA would pay for it!)

Still Trump and his administration don’t actually know what they need the Wall to do and what they want specially and what they need or want is appropriate. They obviously don’t know what the other choices were and why those choices were not considered viable.

No one can articulate specifically why, what or how.

Bonus questions: How will Trump’s Wall impact the local and state economies of southern border states? If the impact is projected to be negative how will the federal government offset the economic and employment losses of the citizens and taxpayers of the affected states?

Hint: Trump has not considered it. As usual his plans are ill conceived and very incomplete.

That’s because he doesn’t really want a wall.

He just wants a fight about the wall to excite his idiot followers.

His base is full of angry bigoted white men...Resentful and bitter...He tells them what they want to hear.........The truth be damned...Sarah Sandbags is his mouth piece..Unapologetically lying for him

Exactly correct. Where is the evidence from reputable sources showing that spending $5b on a small portion of Trump's wall is a cost effective strategy for limiting illegal immigration and drug smuggling?

There is no evidence. Not one study or research initiative to justify spending billions. And this is the party of fiscal responsibility, BS.

Franklin D Roosevelt administration— the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Donald J Trump administration— the only thing we have is fear.

A very good point. Do we know the environmental impact of the wall. There are so many aspects to this project to move forward without extensive research is tatamount to negligence with billions of dollars. Why are Trump supporters so quiet on the idea of research into the
matter. I have written my Congressional Rep. (who happens to be a Dem) to endorse a Federally funded study to justify such an expense. Knowledge is power.

This evening I read that yesterday when Democrat aides met with Republican aides met again to try to come to attempt to reach an agreement that the Democrats asked the Republican counterparts what exactly Trump was going to do with the now $5.7 billion. They wanted to know how Trump arrived at that figure and what exactly would be used for. The Republicans didn't know. Everyone had to wait for 45 minutes while the Republican aides went searching for documents.

Also at the same meeting the Democratic aides asked their Republican counterparts for a list of Trump's specific demands to end the shutdown. The Republicans didn't know. I suspect no one on the Trump end of the issue wants to commit to anything as Trump is capricious, untrustworthy and undependable.

FNC’s Chris Wallace, WH’s Sarah Sanders Battle over Terrorists Crossing Border

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Chris Wallace challenged White House press secretary Sarah Sanders on the Trump administration’s claim that terrorists are crossing the southwestern border of the United States.

Wallace said, “The State Department says, quote, ‘There were no credible evidence of any terrorist coming across the border from Mexico.’”

Sanders said, “We know that roughly nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists come into our country illegally, and we know that our most vulnerable point of entry is southern border.”
Wallace shot back, “I know the statistic, I didn’t know if you were going to use it, but I studied up on this. Do you know what those 4,000 people come where they are captured? Airports.”

Sanders said, “Not always—”

Wallace said, “Airports. The state department says there hasn’t been any terrorists found coming across the southern border from Mexico.”

Fact Check: Did the U.S. catch 4,000 terrorists at the southern border in 2018?
WASHINGTON — White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Friday that Customs and Border Protection picked up nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists last year "that came across our southern border."

But in fact, the figure she seems to be citing is based on 2017 data, not 2018, and refers to stops made by Department of Homeland Security across the globe, mainly at airports.

In fiscal 2017, the latest year for which data is available, according to agency data and the White House's own briefing sheet, the Department of Homeland Security prevented nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists from "traveling to or entering the United States."

According to Justice Department public records and two former counter-terrorism officials, no immigrant has been arrested at the southwest border on terrorism charges in recent years.

Does lying every day to the American public endear herself to Fox viewers? Isn't she supposed to be a 'good Christian woman'?

Are these the terrorist responsible for the Bowling Green Massacre???

Sanders is quickly becoming the least hireable person in America. If Trump doesn't hire her - she's never going to be the face of any private corporation. Ever.

There will be no company with any shred of decency that'll hire her. She'll probably end up running the board of some non-profit church, because we know there isn't a fortune 500 company out there that will hire her.

Honestly, I haven't seen or heard Sanders say there have been 4000 terrorists stopped at the Southern border.
If she danced around it or was vague about it but didn't actually say it, then that's how it should be reported.
Anyone making up quotes is not the right approach.

The border patrol thinks it will work because they say it has worked where barriers exists. Why do you think it didn't?

Except she did say it. On January 4.

She is out spreading propaganda, lies and false statements for the trump regime...Nothing more...She is a disgusting person

But enough about Susan Rice.

Well ... your quoteless link to NBC from 3 days ago didn't resolve anything.
But there's a CBS story from today that had a link to a F&F clip from Friday where Sanders did claim there were Southern Border apprehensions of 4000 known or suspected terrorists.
So she did say it on Friday ...
"We know that roughly, nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists come into our country illegally, and we know that our most vulnerable point of entry is at our southern border," Sanders said.
In an appearance on "Fox and Friends" on Friday, Sanders falsely said last year there were "nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists that CPB picked up that came across our southern border."

Looks like someone told her to try to clean it up for Sunday's Wallace.

So yes, she lied when she said 4000 known or suspected terrorists came across our southern border. That's why Wallace called her out on it. Just like he put Nielsen's fear mongering to bed.

What Sanders said on Friday about "4,000 known or suspected terrorists that CPB picked up that came across our southern border." wasn't true.

The difference between the 2 is that there are controls at airports that don't exist at the Southern border.
Therefore we can only estimate if there have been any terrorists entering at the Southern border and how many.
To suggest anyone knows that there haven't been any is preposterous and as far as I have seen no one is making that claim.

Right. The gov't doesn't even know how many undocumenteds there are and people are adamant that a census not to be taken.
