Christie and Paul’s feud began when, at a forum in Colorado, Christie cautioned against the increasing influence of libertarianism in the Republican party.

“As a former prosecutor who was appointed by President George W. Bush on Sept. 10, 2001, I just want us to be really cautious, because this strain of libertarianism that’s going through both parties right now and making big headlines, I think, is a very dangerous thought,” Christie said

Paul fired back at Christie, saying politicians like Christie are “precisely the same people who are unwilling to cut the spending, and their ‘Gimme, gimme, gimme — give me all my Sandy money now.’ Those are the people who are bankrupting the government and not letting enough money be left over for national defense.”

I have a question. In my estimation, there are things government SHOULD be there for, and on that list is disaster relief, and infrastructure. So why should our government be handing money to corporations that DON'T need any kind of tax break or subsidy, and not helping the communities destroyed by Sandy? How does that make any kind of sense whatsoever.

A tax break isn't handing money to somebody.

I was working on my garage door opener and listened to her today. I think she is getting dumber. Just sayin...

Isnt Somalia about the only liberterian country on earth?

Be that as it may. Why would anybody think that federal aid to a community that's been decimated is a bad idea.

Why would anybody think it's a bad idea to pipe hot fudge into every home in America?

It's always a great idea when it's somebody else's money.

That post made no sense.

I think the fact that Sarah Palin is "on Rands' team" will do nothing but hurt "team Rand". She's a complete and utter moron and anyone with a serious political desire would shy away from her like the plague. She doesn't belong in politics.

When did Rand Paul say Sandy victims shouldn't get relief?

Depends on your definition of 'libertarian.' And while its tempting to make a jab at my anarcho-capitalist friends, I doubt any libertarian would advocate a system ruled by warlords.

Is Sarah Palin even relevant any more? Who cares what she thinks? Here fifteen minutes was over long long ago and it is only statements like this which keep her name out there.

Rand Paul Slams Chris Christie, Peter King, for Being All

"They're precisely the same people who are unwilling to cut the spending, and their 'Gimme, gimme, gimme — give me all my Sandy money now.'" Paul said, referring to federal funding after the hurricane last year. "Those are the people who are bankrupting the government and not letting enough money be left over for national defense." [...]

Paul said he wasn't the one itching for a fight.

"I didn't start this one, and I don't plan on starting things by criticizing other Republicans," he said. "But if they want to make me the target, they will get it back in spades."

He didn't say they shouldn't get relief there. He was talking about how some of the politicians, including Christie, went about trying to get the money.

Sorry, I don't buy it. Time was of the essence, obviously, and that was flat out a stupid-ass thing Rand said.

I agree that it wasn't his most eloquent moment. But you have to understand the context:

“I had an alternative amendment in the Senate mine would have said let’s give them only what they’re going to spend next year. They’ve said they’re going to spend $9 billion next year. Why would you give them $60 billion,” Paul said. “Does anyone expect government officials to do a good job with that money?”

Paul told reporters the billions of dollars he would be in favor of giving the northeastern states devastated by Hurricane Sandy should be offset by cutting foreign aid.

Your understanding of libertarianism seems to be different than that of all the libertarians I know

Who cares? Every single radical liberal in this country. When she opens her mouth, it's the liberals who fall over themselves running to their computer to post something retarded about it. You're right....she's not very relevant anymore. Liberals need to really get over her.

So, once again...it's a "we the people....except for these guys over here" thing, right? Here's one reason...jobs. Corporation-hating chuckleheads seem to always forget that corporations are the job creators. These same chuckleheads have this notion that corporations have "infinite" money supplies (just as they think the federal government has). The reality is that very very few corporations would have the capital (that's "money," and not "Washington DC" to the government-schooled people) to rebuild after a disaster. The only ones that might be able to would be the global corporations (Exxon, BP, etc.), but even then it would be disastrous, and would most likely affect the price of their product.

You badly confuse CARING with MOCKING.

Actually...no. I think you guys are confusing it. Might as well go mock a cloud in the sky. Regardless, it shows the shallowness of some people by continously beating that dead horse, that no one else cares about. Then again, I guess the world needs those radical fringes, right Hay?

I agree with you that she is irrelevant.

What I am also telling you is that the left only finds her amusing to mock and ridicule as she is now a national joke.

Why would anybody think it's a bad idea to pipe hot fudge into every home in America?

Who said that was a bad idea?

If we could find a way to pipe bacon into everybody's home, we'd finally have the utopia we've always dreamed of.

Only to the radical left she is. To the rest of us, she's just irrelevant, and we've moved on.

Meh I don't even think her persona will even make a Saturday night live skit anymore
